Another frivolous waste of money that I already regret.

Integrity Toys Poppy Parker Galaxy Girls
I picked up an Integrity Toys Poppy Parker Galaxy Girl figure several months ago. Embarrassingly, I kind of forgot I had it! I was talking with one of the guys on an action figure forum about Integrity dolls the other day and I started looking around on eBay at prices and then I suddenly remembered -- hey! I have a mint-in-box unopened Poppy Parker Galaxy Girl around here... somewhere.
Only now did I get around to opening the box. There's an undeniable reality about Integrity releases -- as soon as you open it, MIB examples skyrocket in value on the secondary market. I've let the "fear of losing value factor" keep me from even touching the box.
Or boxes. As a result of winning two simultaneous online auctions, I ended up with two Galaxy Girls.
I checked online values today, and right now the secondary market (i.e. eBay) is flooded with Galaxy Girls. Apparently nobody wants a pink Poppy Parker. Prices have stabilized at about what I paid... or slightly less. Don't that just figure.
So I spent a couple of hours ripping open mint-in-box Poppy Parker dolls and putting them together and throwing away all the excess packaging -- all the little bags and cardboard bits and tie strings.
And what can I say: Galaxy Girl is out of this world! I mean, a Poppy Parker with gun hands! That's the defining characteristic of an "action figure," right there! Not only does she have "gun hands," she includes a retro-futuristic laser pistol! And two pairs of silvery space boots!
This doll... this ACTION FIGURE... is epic!
Both of them are epic. Double epic!
My photos are kinda craptastic. I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with my DSLR camera. There's a "camera story" that I won't go in to, but as a result I'm going to be trying to re-learn the DSLR.
Galaxy Girl, however, is far from craptastic; she's fan-freakin-tastic!

They're not dolls, they're action figures!
