The light painting worked out really well. I love the appearance of these photos, just slightly darker lighting with a lovely warm glow from the pumpkin and the string lights.
I, too, intended to carve an Aloha'ween pineapple-o-lantern this year. I even purchased a pineapple, but I got distracted, let the pineapple sit for too long, and the pineapple top dried out and the fruit got hard on the outside and squishy and smelly on the inside.
I guess I just wasn't feeling the All Hallows vibe this season.
