I guessed that part!! 

Wouldn't it be fun to grow a banyan tree, with aerial roots? Gotta live in a pretty warm climate for that. Like... where I used to live. 

(The despair I feel over not having done more to try to make staying in Hawaii feasible is settling deeper in to my soul with every passing day.)

I wish I could pretend it was beach weather!!  Today’s high was 2C.
I wonder if you could do a bonsai banyan and keep it indoors…?
You can get “cheap“ land on da Big Island… If you wanted to live on Mars the Mauna Loa lava flow you could get an acre for about $4000    And some places in Puna when I looked… If you don’t mind living on the rift!!

No strings. No sticks. No leaning against the scenery. No glue on the underside of the feet. The TBLeague S41 figure balances pretty well, even on one foot.

A member on one of the action figure forums posted a photo or photo-story challenge last week. I was responding to the prompt with what was turning out to be an increasingly dull photo-story style reply. Then some pirates showed up and the tedium devolved in to bedlam.

How is it that there has never been a famous pirate character called Redsky? 

Seems a reasonable name, although I suppose when seeing it in writing people might pronounce it as "redskee." So then, should it be hyphenated? Or written as two words? Plus, it sounds somewhat First Nations / Native American. So things get complicated.

Which is why I went with BLOOD-SCABBARD for the cap'n!

I thought of "redski" too, which sounds rather Russian and not very piratey; didn't think of the native angle too.  I'd have written it as 2 words, but maybe hyphenated is the best compromise.  Well, it was a fun little joke for the character anyway.

Is the crew not ex-ploring the lush tropical jungles? Hangin' out on the beach? No more projects underway?
It is a hard time of year to get motivated. But you have tropical sunshine!

Where is this "sunshine" of which you speak? The self-proclaimed "sunshine state" has been under a pall of clouds for well over a week. Rainy and windy too. When the forecast calls for rain, as it did last night, they don't mess around in Florida: "1 to 3 inches overnight." Everything is now very damp, the humidity is high, the wind is whipping around -- finally some "real wind," with gusts up to 35mph / 55kph.

The "greyness" is weighing on me, as is a temporary "financial squeeze" (should be better by mid-January), and Doll-a-Day burnout. I'm just tryin' to get thru ADAD at this point; not even pretending that I care, but not quite willing to give it up this late in the game.
