Smart Doll Summer
#1
I've been feeling guilty for neglecting Summer and davidd's box opening posts inspired me to finally take some better photos of mine.

Here she is when she arrived back in September, yes, doing the popping out of the bag pose. I didn't take a photo of her whole outfit. I got her from Fabric Friends and Dolls and she came with the underwear, this white tshirt, tan corduroy jeans, and brown suede shoes.

And here she is today, wearing a new dress I got for another doll who won't be here for a few months. But it's a pretty good fit and she looks adorable in it.

Once we were done outside, I pulled out the only other SD size clothing I have, which is for boys. I really like this top on her. I can see it with a black bra and a short skirt or leggings. I'm meh on the pants, though.

These pants would be cute with a summery top. The shirt's just okay.

This jacket is pretty loose. I don't know if I would bother to try to find something she could wear with it.

I got the Requiem Art Designs "Cold Shoulder" pattern for her. So that will probably be the first item of new clothes just for her. But she'll have to be patient, I've got other sewing to do first.

Oh, your Summer Smart Doll is spectacular! [insert, like, all heart-eyes and stuff]

I love it that you did the popping out of the bag photo. Of course, it's apparently mandatory. I guess you knew that.

I thought I would be receiving the brown corduroy trousers; that was the "Default Outfit" at the time I planned to order. But I had to delay my order for a couple of days while a Paypal transaction cleared, so by the time I could actually order, the trousers had been switch to blue denim jeans.

I love the steampunk-inspired outfit... over which I have already gushed on Flickr and at your Doll-A-Week topic. It's kind of like Alice in Wonderland meets Locomotive Engineer.

I like the short brown trousers with the frilly shirt. She looks like she's well on her way to becoming a pirate!

I was so pleased to discover that somebody else on this forum had ordered a Smart Doll at about the same time I did. I hope we get to see a lot more of Summer!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

I really like the first two outfits. And your red bush makes a very nice bright background.
