We have a few toy kiwis about the house.

Have seen a real one, not quite in the wild though. They had a few at a Kiwi House I went to. They’re very reclusive and nocturnal.

We have a couple of Pullips this week. I think their actual names are Brand New Purezza and Aquel, but we call them Amelia and Becky.



The girls took Wendell; our two headed Tasmanian Devil, out into the backyard so he could word them up about Tasmania in readiness for the upcoming trip to the Apple Isle.

Oh boy, road trip!! (Well, partly ) I think we need to see Wendell close-up; a two-headed Tasmanian Devil sounds like he deserves his own shot. It looks like a lovely spot to sit there.
How many dolls will you take on the trip? Looking forward to photos!

I’ll try and give Wendell a shot of his own and I may include a close up of what it says on the back of his jacket.
We’re taking Becky and Amelia with us. Amelia likes photography, so she’ll oversee that side of it and report on the trip.

You can fly, or go by ferry. We prefer to take the ferry, because we can take our own car, rather than having to hire one there.

A sea voyage! That sounds like fun! I hope the weather is conducive to photographs while at sea!

I looked online; that's a fairly lengthy ferry trip!

 We usually cross at night, so we may be able to get some shots indoors, but on deck can be a bit tricky. Bass Strait is not the easiest stretch to sail.

Seeing as there was demand, and the weather here has turned (very wintry weekend. Rain, wind, hail, cold) I decided to do a couple of shots of Wendell out on the front porch. He's hunting in the chain of hearts, exactly what he hopes to catch there I have no idea, although I did once see a preying mantis in it.
