She’s a very well made doll.

She would be very pleased to hear that!

A Shin would be happy to hear that, I'm sure! Are you going to get her glasses?

I would love to find the right glasses for her, but it can be kind of hard to do in 1/6 scale ><

115. NECA Coraline
[Image: 54049651_01ce9b7cec56c5fff84456144190492c_standard.jpg]
Easter gift from the parents - we don't do chocolate as it tends to not agree with me - it's one of the awesome bendy dolls NECA made of Coraline! She doesn't have a jumper on under the raincoat, and she's ridiculously skinny. She's also a cute little thing and her hair is brilliantly done. She comes with a little stand as well, so I could display her that way if I wanted.

A really cool gift

That's quite an ekspression on her face! Cute little thing, and a fun Easter gift!

No chocolate? That's so sad! In fact, I feel so badly for you, that I think I shall have a bit right now, on your behalf. Hmm... shall it be Dove, or a Hershey's mini?

I love these Coraline dolls so much! They're absolutely some of my favorites! But they're always really pricey... I mean I think my pullips cost more but still Haha
She's so cute!

To be perfectly honest, I don't like the movie Coraline - that's not a criticism, though, just my personal tastes - mostly because of her physiognomy... I just pictured her differently when I read the book and the movie one didn't really click with me. But I'm glad that various Gaiman's works are turned into movies / TV shows, so that more people can discover them and read the books. I'm also glad that there are dolls, even if I personally don't like them. I like the whole books&dolls idea, so keep'em coming!

It's so... Dreamworks face, and yet it does fit the character so very much.

Well, some chocolate, but only little bits. It tends to make me quite ill. But yes, have chocolate on my behalf!

I've found a lot of NECA stuff to be a bit pricey for what they are, so I do get what you mean. Knowing my parents, they likely got a good deal because my Mum does the shopping when it comes to presents and she's an ex.pert at finding stuff at a good price.

Actually, I do get what you mean. Movie Coraline is not how I pictured Book Coraline at all, but I was endeared by the use of stop motion to tell the story. I tend to be a fan of stop motion stuff. And exactly! I really cannot wait for May 31st, and Good Omens being released on Prime. (Hm... dolls of Aziraphale and Crowley... there's an idea.)

116. Teddy Bear

Freya got a teddy bear. Dammit, she's way too cute. I mean, Hujoos can be really hard to pose sometimes, but then Freya just sits all adorable like that and I melt. Again.

You are obviously quite infatuated with your latest arrival! I eggspect we shall continue to see Freya on a regular basis. Likely joined by additional friends.

Great seeing dolls with their ‘toys’.

Her cuteness demands all the attention. And yes... friends...

Like I said, ridiculous cute and just heart-melting.

It's nice to have little things to pose them with. I don't have many things but... yeah.

117. Custom: Mildred Hubble
[Image: 49030978_e46040d284908f1b420e70d2f7be9e69_standard.jpg]
So, I have been a fan of The Worst Witch books since I was a kid. I love the series that came out in '98, and I find myself fond of the new series that started in 2017 on the CBBC channel/Netflix. Oddly enough, for a series that is surprisingly popular? There's nothing in the way of merch. Occasionally the books get re-released with new covers, but nothing else. It's not a big enough name, I guess.

So I made myself a Mildred Hubble back in 2017. She says hi. Licca-chan head and a 21cm Obitsu body. Tempted to get either the new 22cm or 24 cm body for her...

Mildred is cute. And a doll for Easter is a great gift (and better for you than chocolate, haha). Great that you're enjoying little Freya so much.
Lack of merch might have something to do with copyright and what rights the creator or copyright holder was willing to license.

Interesting that there’s not much merch, because isn’t the actress who plays the awesome Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones in Worst Witch as well?

Aww... your little Worst Witch is adorable! Her toes might be cold, though; she needs some appropriately witchy footwear.

That's too bad that there has never been a line of figures based on the books and television series. Surprising, really, considering how almost everything is heavily merchandised these days.

Freya is a little treat, and tbh if you asked me to pick between Coraline and chocolate... Coraline wins. Always.
This... is possibly true. I do think there's honestly the element of it's not a big enough franchise to it as well? Any/all adaptations have pretty much been restricted to the television, on relatively smaller channels. Netflix is probably the biggest place to have it ever. (Actually, there is a musical now touring the UK, and will be entering the West End for a limited period later this year.)

You're right! It's really fun, watching her in GoT and then watching her in Worst Witch because the characters of Lyanna and Mildred could not be more different and she handles it all so very well. I think she'll do well in her career, I hope she does, she's already proven herself very capable of handling two very different tones. Credit to all the young cast, actually, they all do so well. You can't help but feel proud of them.

The approved school wear is big clumpy boots, like Doc Martens. I like to think it's to teach the girls that if they ever meet a creep, they can kick first before going to spells. (Worst Witch has always had this bent of just because you know how to use magic, doesn't mean it needs to be your first go to all the time. A smart witch thinks.) But trying to find appropriately clumpy boots for that size is a big hard. Hence thinking of getting one of the slightly bigger Obitsu bodies for her.
It really is a shame there isn't anything in the way of official merch for it - I can't help but think there could be some really cute things for this series. Ah well. Maybe Funko will make some POP vinyls, since they do it with pretty much everything else.

118. Victoria
[Image: 54215146_90e9a874370b020fee2c64165e164f4e_standard.jpg]
Arrival date: 27th April 2019
A bit of an impulsive bid and subsequent win on eBay that I should really have had more control on... one of the full size Hujoo Freya's. Due to her white colour, I decided to name her Victoria, as inspired by the white kitten from Cats the Musical.
Face-up, wig, eyes, and outfit all came from her original owner and... I'm liking it. Will probably re-dress her at some point, but for now, she's a lovely addition and I love her little smile.

Bonus: Victoria re-dressed:

Amazing what a difference a change in outfit can make! In the new outfit she has a lot more "presence," with plenty of sass and attitude!

Congratulations on Kitty Number Two!
