I'm not sure why my very first thought was that green would be a challenge, I guess because I don't have any green-skinned dolls... but how could I forget my green-HAIRED girls?  Here are Sara & Doryn with a plushie I got as a kid, a dragon eraser from last fall's school book fair, and Doryn's holding a little dragon I found in a parking lot somewhere (probably the school) which has been on my dashboard till I realized it was getting crisped in the sun.

Alliecat - that's a beautiful green bunch! I actually just adopted a dendro (grandma had one), but this place is terribly hot, so I'm not sure if it will survive, let alone bloom as beautifully as yours! My dream is cymbidium, but cyms are even more sensitive to high temperatures, so I'm not getting one as long as I live where I do.

Hahaha, me too, about the Cymbidiums!!!  I would love some. My Australian friend is always sending photos of hers. But, I think it might be difficult here, plus they are hard to get. If it helps any, my Dendro lives on a south windowsill.  Actually all of them live on windowsills that are hotter than recommended. It drops buds if it gets dry, and it’s a little sunburned, but it’s hanging in there. Unlike all my others, I have it in a plastic pot to help with the moisture.  If you mist it and watch the water, maybe it will be OK. Looking forward to seeing it with some of your dolls.

I'm cool with social distancing, could care less about eating out, am OK with online shopping for now, but I really miss the public library! I had this stack of books out when the libraries shut about two months ago, but they have long since been read...

dargosmydaddy - that's a correct interpretation of #1! I'm paranoid about these things, so I hoard books like dolls, there's no room for 'normal people' stuff here, but at times like these, I'm glad I have my books here with me.

Well, I definitely want to resurrect it, but for now, it looks like it's about to die, it's mostly dry, pale, and stretched really long, eventhough it was on the windowsill, so it should have had enough light... If I make any progress with it, I'll boast about it in my thread.

Kate is gorgeous -- that hair and those eyes!      I miss the library too but I do have a stack of books that had accumulated & not been read so I'm OK so far.  Although I was bummed they closed just when I got home from BC so I didn't get the DVD set I'd requested, and now there's another book set I want that I'm not paying $50 apiece for online.  Oh well...  will be worth the wait.

neon, somewhere out there might be the 'recipe' for an orchid rescue soak I tried once.... something about soaking the plant in a sugar-water solution; was supposed to help if they were severely dehydrated.  Unfortunately the cattleya I got had been too-much-neglected by the greenhouse & was too far gone so I eventually lost it anyway.

I miss the library too but I do have a stack of books that had accumulated & not been read so I'm OK so far.  

I had one of those stacks, too, and have gone through it... well, all the ones I was really ex.cited about, anyhow. I still have some (mostly gifts) that I'm like, do I really want to read this? I've been dipping into old favorites instead. I have a whole list of things that I really want to read but not quite badly enough to actually buy them...

Bonus shot: a close up of the flowers. This is a combination of a small rose, rosemary (yes, it does flower), lavender and an a flowering weed that I don't know the name of, but it looks nice.

Oh, everyone's different interpretations are just great, it's always interesting to see what / how people interpret the prompts.

Dargo & all - we feel for you about having to hoard books.  We've really missed our ex-peditions to the books shops that were about every 6 weeks.  Our last one was at the start of March, not long before the world changed.  But we do have a Very Large Library of Unread Books, so it's a bit of a blessing in some ways as we can get through some of the back-log.

All the pretty green toys - both in body & hair colour!
And the flower-shots too, especially the ones with the purple flowers, such rich colours.

Dargo (again) - my actual name starts with a K, so I completely sympathise with trying to find items with a not-common letter.  Which is wy I picked my board-name.

I thought I'd try to concentrate more on the EAH & MH dolls I have for the May competition where possible.  They're sadly neglected since I moved into the Pullips.  And as Elfy will be mostly doing the Pullip family for his entries, it will be easier to not duplicate ideas.

Something with Wings
Here's 3 EAH dolls with wings:  Faybelle Thorn, Cupid, and Farrah Goodfairy.  The Cupid is a fancy one who's line name escapes me.  I also liked the contrast between the two blues and the pink.


Something from the sea
Meshell LeMer and a stingray.  The ray was from one of our stopovers in Dubai, where we stayed at Atlantis The Palms


A Blossom
Nina Thumbell wears blossoms on her dress and her headpiece.  The dress is also shaped like an upside-down tulip blossom.  And she's "wearing" a pair of human-sized flower earrings I found on top of the bookcase she was sitting on.


Something Green
a large toy dragon that lives on the blanket-box in the bedroom with some of the other large stuffed toys.  And Jillian Beanstalk is his companion.
