My first thought was the Robot from Fantastic Planet, she’s a very cool figure to add to tge adventure crew.

Yes, this is a 1/6 scale (Barbie or Pullip size) figure.

Thanks! The iPad app filters turned a somewhat bland photo in to something kind of cool, I thought.

I wonder how Spaceman Spiff would react if he encountered an astronaut who looked like his mom!

I had not heard of Cy Girls figures until relatively recently, the last two or three years. Apparently they were popular a dozen or so years ago, when they were among the first fully articulated female "action figures." Many versions were released, and the costumes and uniforms are often highly detailed and include many accessories. The Cy Girls were some of the first female dolls... or figures... designed to appeal to the action figure market rather than to the fashion doll market. While the bodies and head sculpts are considered outdated today, many of the outfits and accessories remain in high demand on the secondary market.

Yes, one of the members on an action figure forum noted the similarity to Robby the Robot. It's an interesting figure, with elements reminiscent of 1950s "B movie" sci-fi, pulp magazine art, and 1970s science fiction influences like 2001 and Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica. Unfortunately, the space suit is the stretchy vinyl material that decomposes over time, so most surviving examples of this figure have considerable "rot" affecting the uniform.

Ooh, lovely!
Took me a minute to figure out that the shirt presumably says "Selfie"... I was like, "Wait, Elfy's name is spelled wrong!" (It's been a long day...)

I actually, momentarily, thought the same thing, even though I (in theory at least) knew what it actually said!

Ha!!
A fun shot. My laugh for today. Before I read the caption I wondered, is she going to eat it or mount it?
How lovely and lush and green that looks.

Yay, the beach again! I bet the Pinkys (and you) are very glad to have a beach nearby once more. It looks so warm... did I say that? I might have mentioned that. Because it looks warm.

I was watching the national weather forecast today, and while they don't usually cover Canada, your island is clearly visible on the map when they show weather fronts moving through the northeastern US. It appears a seriously cold cold front is heading your way. You'll be sure to share some exciting winter storm photos with us, won't you?
Daytime highs at the beach here have been running around 72˚F/22˚C, with nights around 57˚F/14˚C. Next week there's a cold snap... okay, a cool snap in the forecast, with daytime highs in the 60˚F/15˚C range. What I find amusing is that in Florida, winds of 25mph/40kph merit a "wind warning." In Utah, winds of that velocity are barely considered "breezy."
A couple of nights have dropped to 45˚F/7˚C, but that's chillier than usual, apparently. This is not the "endless summer" part of Florida that you see on TV or in the movies. The eternally warm area starts about two hours south (150 miles / 240 km) of here. Real estate prices get higher the further south one goes – well out of my price range. Yeah, I'd love to live in Key West or someplace like that. It would be like Hawaii all over again. But it would cost as much as Hawaii, maybe even more.
Here's a filtered and color-enhanced version of today's photo, courtesy of a couple of iPad and Instagram apps, to make it look even warmer:

Aw, she looks sad that the bowl's nearly empty.
Yes, that's a nice warming effect.
Same with the wind, here. "Small craft warnings" do come into force at 20kt, but, if you were in a very small craft, it is relevant. Otherwise, gale warnings at 35 is where it starts to be a bit more than breezy. I am amused at the wind warnings from inland too.
Not much in the mood for exciting snow photos; we got hammered today; couldn't see anything, windows are plastered in snow (rather rare) as are the doors... I caught a mourning dove in the rat trap and it was buried by the time I got out to release it. I don't even know how bad the snow is outside other than that it trashed my garden-box fence. No power for 5+ hours. Brr. And because my wonderful reliable Snowplow Guy retired, I have to phone the new guy every time I want him to come instead of him just showing up, so, tomorrow will be spent trying to get out.
So yeah, "cold" Florida even, sounds pretty darn good right now.
