PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week, **2025** (#8, Feb. 18)
#1
Here we go again with another round of Pic-A-Week!  Yay!
A brand new crew member to start off a brand new year.  Daisy Madison is the result of telling myself I was NOT going to walk down the toy aisle, especially since I might've ordered $omething el$e at Christmas, but, what the heck.  And Magenta needed a sister.  They had all the minis, and it was a difficult choice, but I managed to get only one.  And thanks to our [redacted] PM's Christmas "tax holiday" we're still paying tax on things we need like clothing and health products, but we aren't paying tax on toys!  Yippee!

So here's PTFCo's President and CCO* welcoming the new girl on a crummy gloomy day.  Isn't she a little ray of sunshine.

Daisy Madison is a bright, cheerful, sunshiny little creature! Is Daisy her "stock" name or a newly "assigned" name?

I vote for Sunsette, with her experience as CCO, for the next PM!

Of course, in a parliamentary system, that would require her party to hold a majority. All the better then! I support a straight PTFCo Party ticket!

Best of luck on Pic-a-Week 2025!

It's her stock name.
Sunsette is too smart to take the job.  Although I think the world would be much better off all over if the minis were running it.

Unplanned addition!!  New year begins with TWO new crew members.
Pere Noel was on my wish list for some time but I never really ex-pected to get her at a decent price, since I won't pay "new" prices.  Thanks to a couple of posts on the FB Dolly Kingdom, which led me to the sample sale and then to Dollyteria, here was this gal for a surprisingly low price, brand new in the box.  So, to lift my mood on a kind of sad-ish Boxing Day, I splurged.  From Japan to Central Nowhere in just 2 weeks.  Welcome Noelle!

Oh she's so pretty! One if the best recent releases. Beware her wig, it sometimes has a tendency to get dry.

Congratulations on another New Year addition to the crew!

And what a perfect name for the holiday season!

I'm sorry to hear about a "kind of sad-ish" Boxing Day. I hope Noelle and Daisy are optimistic signs of a much better year ahead!

So... since Noelle is a "mint-in-box collectible" from a dozen years ago, will she remain in her box as a keepsake? Or will she be busting out for adventures?

Interesting.  This one seems pretty good.  I had to give it a pretty major hot-water-soak to fix the box-hair though.

A PTFCo crew member kept in their box??
Wash your mouth out.

Didn't intend to start the new year with more of this dragging-in-after-midnight-on-Saturday posting, but, well, it's been that kinda week.
I got these flowers with visions of photography, but so far this is all I've done.  I thought Cygnie's white colour scheme would look nice with them.

Happy Birthday, Sunsette!
My but she looks pretty!

Is the birthday the reason the girls were getting dressed up the week before? Or is there another special event on the horizon?

Nice save, that last-minute peeking-thru-the-flowers pic! It's cute and slightly mysterious -- maybe some of that Witching Hour midnight vibe.

Thanks.  Sunsette appreciates the birthday wish  wink
She shared the story of the special occasion on her adventures page.
I actually shot that pic of Cygnie with the flowers outside in the sun that afternoon.  It's dark trees in the background.

Sunsette:  "What's all this gear-sorting, Mum?  Are we doin another Thing?"
Scarlett:  "Is it another concert?  Should I get my guitar?"

Wow! That's a lot of cool camera gear! And... a compass???? What kind of concert requires a compass?

Ah, I'll need to check out the Adventures Page then. It seems the New Posts during my absence are not showing up under the View New Posts tab.

The "new posts" are only new since one's last visit. The girls did go to a concert -- the previous adventure page entry -- but we didn't need the compass. LOL

"Whoaa! We're on the big screen!!"
The girls are impressed with themselves in giant size but I am struggling to concentrate on the ginormous borrowed-computer screen and I can't type well on this keyboard either. Funny how you get used to one and nothing else seems as good.

Uh oh! "Borrowed" computer screen and keyboard? Is the old computer, or at least its peripherals, giving up the ghost?

My iMac, which is coming up on ten years old, has a "27 inch" screen. Apple doesn't even make that size anymore, with their largest iMac currently being a "24 inch." That said, measuring diagonally, I only really use the equivalent of "21 inch" of the available screen space most of the time.

Some of the letters are worn off my keyboard. It's a good thing I can "touch type." There's a missing key or two from when the cat used to claw the keyboard. Most cats claw furniture. One cat decided the keyboard was was a claw-pad. You're right, though, typing on a different keyboard doesn't seem as natural or fluid.

The borrowed computer is at the housesit.  Typing a little better after a couple of e-mails, but dang, who needs a 3-foot computer screen!  LOL

I should probably stop buying dolls until I live in a house with more room, where I can have a cabinet.  But, oops...
Kit has been on my wish list for probably 3 or 4 years, since I saw her on someone’s Flickr. She was always either not available, a stupid price in Canada, or shipping from the states was ridiculous. Now here I am somewhat unex!pectedly visiting Texas, and I was having a look around online at things I might like if they could be shipped here. Wouldn’t believe it, but, she was at a secondhand book shop just 20 minutes away. I went in yesterday and she was not on the shelf – surely they hadn’t sold her in the past 24 hours!? But when I asked, the clerk knew which doll I was describing and fetched her from out back. And the price sticker on the box was $10 less than what it said on the website! I see people’s thrift store scores and think “I never find stuff like that.” Guess I’ve had my turn.
