I am constantly in awe of the way you’re able to pose the dolls to look like they’re doing things naturally.

Aw, thank you!    That's the challenge... having grown up doing nature photography, this is a whole different kind of photography, and I always try to make them look like real little people doing things rather than awkwardly posed toys. I always end up doing multiple photos because some little detail doesn't look natural.

The mirror pic is fun!

They're a challenge -- how much junk is in the background?  Where do you put the knitting needle?  Which do you focus on, the doll or her reflection....?  

Janice makes for an excellent mermaid!

The out-takes are great, I particulrarly like the fan-girl one.  She looks both relaxed and intent with all her goodies.

Samantha had another Dal House photo shoot and went for a little dance in the warm sun -- finally!



Aya had another round of photos.


"Thanks for fixing my hair, Mum.  Can you fix this too...?"



"Wow!  Ta-daaa!"

It actually worked better than I ex-pected.  I snipped out the worst tangles and combed out all the rest.








She's really enjoying her new look!






Now I've got 3 little rockstars...  Although Dawn is really still more folksy, I think.

They need a band name.

We had a look at a name generator.  Aya, in her current outfit, likes "Hot Pink Plastic Dreams", but the others aren't really keen.
Sunsette reminded them about representing PTFCo and they got "Pretty Tiny Fantasy Biscuit".
Nope.
And they all said no to "Ex.ploding Dolls"
