Here is the result of Andreya's recent wardrobe e eriment. Of course the blue-haired girl gets to try on all the outfits that are blue... Followers of the PrettyTiny Film Company & Modelling Studio will know that we don't really do frilly & girly around here. But this outfit really surprised me. Daesani hasn't had it on since she arrived; it's so ridiculously tight they can barely move in it, and can't really sit. But I'd been wanting to see how Andreya looked in it, & now I'm glad I didn't try to sell it or something. I just love it on her!
I've never been inspired to write detailed stories about any of my dolls the way some of you do. If I was going to create an original character and an epic saga for her, this would be the one.
It was a somewhat difficult shoot, in a rock pile with raspberry brambles, then in the woods in the cold, and Andi has a lazy hand which drops off ALL the time. I was petrified of losing it! A dental-floss fix hasn't worked well. Then, all the little ties kept coming undone, swords dropping out, faceplants in tiny breezes and a horse with loose fetlocks who doesn't stand as well as he used to (why you should never get rid of anything from your childhood; he hasn't been out of storage for a looooonnngg time). I also think I know now why all these dolls cost so much -- they have to pay people tons of overtime to dress them. This outfit took 45 minutes!! ...ok, not helped by the fact I had to peel off the jacket again cos her arm was backwards...
Anyway, the PTFCo girls are now ready to seriously kick some plastic butt!
This is about as well as she can sit in this outfit.
Of course a samurai needs a horse...
Surveying the devastating clearcut woodlot next door...
...and ready to wreak vengeance on the eco-vandals.
It's much nicer in the woods.
Off into the sunset.
(I wonder if he's a magic horse...? He's glowing...)
Thanks for looking

Amazing photos! I love them all! She looks so awesome and fierce in that outfit! It just looks so right on her! I'm curious what journies this samurai and her *possibly magical* horse will have!

This is so cute! I love how well the colors of the outfit match her hair! I think I like this outfit better on her than I do on Date Masamune.
I love the horse, too! Great photos!

I like this outfit the best of the Sengoku Basara dolls. Well, I also like part of the Taeyang's, too. But it looks terrific on Andreya with her intensely blue hair.
I have an old Johnny West jointed horse, Comanche, that looks pretty similar to yours. Unfortunately, it was a victim of one of my father's repair jobs. But I'm very tempted to try chiseling the glue off to see if the grown up me is capable of a much better repair.

She is rockin masamune outfit like no other I love that you find her a horse. They look great together. You got very nice shots.i love the one where they are looking at the clear cut area
One of the scariest part of doll photography is losing parts and pieces. That hand is tiny, I understand your concern. My Taeyang arashi has a foot like that. I got a small heart attack )

Great photo shoot. I especially like the last photo. You know, every time a horse glows, a pony gets its wings... ☺

I forgot to mention, that you can wrap some Teflon/plumber's tape around the peg of the hand (or foot) to thicken it up a bit and that will help it stay where it belongs.

I do too; it's a perfect colour match... I should try it on Daesani again although her hair will probably clash...

Hadn't heard of Johnny West but googled, and found some on eBay that look like basically the same horse, with some colour. Yes, you should try a repair. Doesn't your gang need a horse?
This is Silver, and he came with a Lone Ranger figure. They were favourites when I was little. I think the Lone Ranger is a bit short for my girls... although the PTFCo crew have a thought about casting him in a music video...
I'll see if I can find some teflon tape; thanks for the tip.

I had a chance to buy a J-Doll at Tuesday Morning a year or two ago and didn't do it and your photos make me really regret it! You really capture their e ressions so well. At least your forty five minutes yielded amazing results xD

I don't think J's are very common at TM. Maybe another will show up sometime. Once in a while you can find one for a half-decent price on eBay. They really are great models; they're so pretty that it's easy to make them look elegant.

Wow! This is so cool! I honestly think you picked the right J-doll for it, this outfit just fits her so well! Damn! And the horsie is also nice, I like this photoshoot a lot! The colors, the backrounds, the doll, everything just falling into place so well!
I also love how the sunset colors the pictures so different!
And yeah, I have sat down dressing my dolls for hours in a row, so I know what you mean! Dressing 3 dolls for winter took me couple hours. (Tough it included searching for fitting clothes as well.)

I'm glad you liked them It was a really fun wardrobe e eriment. I'd like to revisit the idea sometime, although I doubt any of the other girls could pull it off like Andreya. Sunset light is wonderful... my little camera doesn't always do a good job with it, but photographers love the sunrise/sunset "golden hours".

I guess I had not seen these scenes before! These are totally wizard! Smashing! Keen! You maximized the effect of the available natural lighting to create a genuine fairy tale mood.
If the scales match up, Samurai Girl should meet up with your New Blue Dude. In a setting like this.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!
