She's a cutie, one of those dolls that always make you smile. Nice to see her again!

Mildred does just make me smile a lot. She's a really nice doll.

Victoria looks like she's waiting for someone to deliver some more furniture for her backstage dressing room...

Hm, maybe I should see about getting her a vanity. Or trying to make one.

I like the contrast of the red sash at her waist. Is that a screen- or book-accurate detail?

Both, actually. The sashes are said to represent the year group of each student. I went with red because ... well I had a red ribbon, but also because at the time I was making my custom the newer series had just started and Mildred was given a red sash in that.

She’s such a cute doll.  I do like the red belt as a contrast.

A tiny thing of an accurate detail helping to provide some needed contrast. 

I don’t know much about the Worst Witch other than the actress who played the awesome Leanna Mormont in Game of Thrones was also in the TV show of The Worst Witch.

Yes, that was in the newer one. The books can be said to be an inspiration for the earlier Harry Potter ones - they were published 20 years beforehand and they both riff on the same tropes - but in Worst Witch the stakes are much lower. Also generally for a younger age group. The 90s show won a children's BAFTA I believe.

Xanthos was ancient Greek for yellow. Being xanthocomic means to have yellow hair. I couldn't think of anyone with more yellow hair than dear Clawdia here.
