I'd just finished reading yet another discussion about all the Canadians bailing out for presumed better places (record numbers in 2021 according to Statistics Canada?).  Can't say I didn't seriously consider joining them, but the gubbermint makes leaving a financial minefield   
And really, no guarantee of things being much better anywhere else over the long term.
