The fix for glue head: ethoxylated alcohol?

Please copy and paste and spread the word to all forums with people dealing with glue head (I don't have a MH arena or MLP arena login).
I'd hate to see people throw away their gunk headed collection when it can be saved.

Tiffy from dollsonmain.tumblr.com found that soaking and squeezing heads in LA's Totally awesome works well at cleaning the glue from gunked up hair and, within about a week's soaking, the heads.

I researched the ingredients as Totally Awesome is USA only and did my own tests, it would seem that ETHOXYLATED ALCOHOL is the ingredient required to neutralize the glue. It's also known as primary alcohol ethoxylate or "Alcohols, Cnumber to number, Ethoxylated."

You can find out which products contain this chemical in Europe by looking at the bottles of degreasers and multipurpose cleaners such as floor cleaner. It will be listed further down the bottle with "non ionic surfactant" on the top of ingredients lists.
In Canada and Australia, they are not obligated to list in the ingredients on the bottle but you can find ingredient lists on the manufacturers websites or by searching for "name of product chemical composition" will bring up a pdf or doc file with ingredients and fire hazards.

My first custom doll

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I just wanted to see what you all thought?
I've done a few reroots previous to this but this is my first complete custom doll!
I chose an Abbey Bominable doll and gave her a full reroot, face up and added elf ears and I also handmade her clothes and wings, I'm pretty pleased with her for My first go.
Her name is Blu and she's an elf fairy
What are your thoughts?

Colors not sticking after new MSC coat

Hey so I'm kind of new to the repainting stuff. I've been trying to work on two practice dolls right now that I'm having a lot of trouble with. After I use acetone and clean the face, I give the head 3 sprays of MSC and let it dry 30 mins between layers. Once I start working after the 3 primer layers everything is fine, the colors are sticking and everything until my pencil starts sliding and I add on another coat of MSC. Well, every time I go back in trying to work on the doll after this additional layer, it ALWAYS starts scratching away at the work I've already done and at the new MSC layer making it a total mess. It's driving me insane and I have no idea how to fix this issue lol can somebody help me what I'm doing wrong or give me some fixes to it. Thanks!

This is not Monster High Related, but I need help from doll customizers who are eerts on changing the texture of a doll's hair.

I'm trying to turn one of my doll's hairs into a natural, afro-textured style. I tried using pipe cleaners in a zig-zag motion, dipped in boiling water, left it to dry overnight, but when I take off the pipe cleaners, I see no results and her hair resets back to straight. This happened twice. What am I doing wrong? I tried following the video tutorials on the matter, but they all seem to go wrong for me.

What should I do to change her hair from straight to natural at once without having to reset back to straight? I could use some help to make my doll have natural hair for once and for all. I'll appreciate anyone trying to help me.

I just finished yet another MH custom. Her name is "Unlovable". She was created by a mad scientist, but discarded because he deemed her to be a mistake.

Funko Monster High Pops & Rock Candy Figures!

Funko announced today that they will be releasing Funko Pops based on Monster High characters, these are due out in December. Hopefully this is just the first of many sets that will be released. Skelita will be a Walmart exclusive.

They will also be releasing Rock Candy figures based on Frankie, Clawdeen and Draculaura

I love the Pops, I'm not as taken with the rock candy figures.

I came upon these yesterday -- as if there isn't enough small plastic things I want to collect

Apparantly they are ONLY sold at Walmart - I don't know if that is permanent or just to start with. There is series 1, but there is apparantly heaps of others to come.

I found a Venus on ebay, they are cute but I will be getting only my fvourites (and then only if they become available for a reasonable price here) There are videos on YouTube and one said they cost $2.88 in Walmart for you guys

I need tinier brushes and a lot of my hand steadiness is gone D: I might end up wiping this one and starting over but I wanna blush her body before I do.
