I started searching for Dal customs to adopt. Very soon after I begun, I came across this stunning young woman's photo. I traced her to her creator's page just to see more photos and sigh over her.
I found that the person who had commissioned a "Marie Antoinette Dal, vintage style in purple & green" had become unable to take her and she was looking for a home. After I woke from my faint  I emailed the lovely Rachel of Rach Hell Doll Haus and begged to adopt her. I told her that Marie is one of my many passions, vintage is almost always my preference and purple & green are my favourite colours. Perfect timing, I may have to change my belief system about fate !
This is Toinette. my precious young Marie. She is a full custom, made with a Dal MIO kit. All clothing, wig, box & presentation, her little dog and her footstool made by Rachel. She is an awesome customiser who until now has specialised in MH and LDD customs. Congrats! She is very detailed and is quite a special Dal! The boat in her hair makes me giggle.

thankyou CB, I know the steampunk/vintage/whatever mix is a big part of why I love her so much.
thankyou AliceMR, I agree about the teeth. I hate teeth on stock Dals  but when I saw the closeups on her, they look so real plus it makes sense with the "eat cake" idea

AH! She's amazing! What a perfect story She was clearly always meant to live with you. And you even shared pictures!  Is cake a theme with many of your dolls? Or is it just a coincidence that it lines up with Miss Edith not getting any cakes?

I'm pretty sure I used to have a jacket out of that exact same toile pattern at work, so I'm pretty sure it's even historically accurate! She is amazing.

BH - I would love to share pics of everyone, believe me These were taken by the creator & are used with her permission. MY daughter and I are working on sorting out the family starting this week. She does the moving and finding and all that, then leaves me to choose wigs and clothes for everyone. THEN I can both take photos to post with their profiles AND sell all the spare clothes and wigs in this house
Oh, and the cake thing is a coincidence although I do like cake That quote from Drusilla has always been one of my favourites from Buffy and Marie Antoinette has always been one of the subjects I like to learn about most. *hmm, I don't have rement, I will have to get ahold of at least one piece of cake for her

thankyou Missy (I agree about the feeling in the design) and thankyou Chihiro. I adore my Toinette. I would like to just call her Marie, but I have only known one Marie in my entire life. She is my ex sister in law and one of the biggest bitches in the world. Needless to say, I do not want to think of her when I look at this beautiful girl
