But maybe she can have an alter-ego! Y'know, like Clark Kent / Superman. ... Haha. I think the pirate look is kind of her alter-ego. Funny, I didn't think the floral skirt suited her that much either; her best casual look seems to be that crop top and Nomado's pants... her slightly-hippie-girl guitar-playing look

I think that the pirate outfit you sew for her suits her the best, but I also love Black Butler characters, so I'm glad she finally has her Grell outfit. Thanks I really like her in that too. I know nothing about those characters, so they were never relevant to Dawn at all. But, it's nice to have the complete outfit. I'll have to play around with it a bit.

Some of mine just look wrong if I put them back into their stock, becuase they aren't that character any more It's nice when they become their own characters though, isn't it!
Whew, just made it at the tail end of this week. Here's Robyn with some advice for us all. Me in particular because I've spent the majority of this week chasing parts or a replacement for a wonky fridge. Life in the middle of nowhere means you can't get either without a battle. Sigghhh.
Take time for dolly therapy!!

I feel your pain. A few months ago we had similar issues with a washer/dryer unit.
But your lovely photo helps remind us to look on the bright... or in this case, on the colorful... side and to think about the fun stuff!

Thanks, all
I bought the plaque while at my friends' in Maine last year; stupidly didn't buy the other 2 in the set because they were a bit ex pensive, and U.S. exchange on top of it... after I got home it looked so TINY on the wall by itself so I had to call the store to see if they still had the other 2 & then get my friends to get them for me.
So I decided I better do photos of the others too.
Here's Andreya.

Lovely photo. I would have been tempted by all three of those pretty pictures as well, looking at the one you did get. Adorable photo.

She was one of my 2 'grail' J-Dolls, and I don't really have grail dolls. But I wanted her for a realllly long time. (The other is Ermou.)

This week's pic is in honour of two shipmates lost in Hurricane Sandy 6 years ago today. (No, I was not aboard at the time.)
I set the hat down when I came in, and Victor was there, and it sort of became a photo.
Since tall ships led me to dolls, I hope they'd be happy that dolls have brought such joy.
"Claudine" the doll, is a "Collegiate Cheerleader" created by Claudene Christian. (I thought I ought to spell her name a little differently, for some reason.) Captain Robin Walbridge gave me the lens that I shoot most of my dolly pix with. I think he'd be amused.
Bonus pic:
"To absent friends."

It's very sad that two of your friends were lost, along with a famous ship that appeared in several motion pictures.
That photos are nicely done. Natural candle light makes for wonderfully atmospheric photos.

Thanks, everyone
Uploading photos to flickr now feels like what happens when I try to cram just a bit more seed into my bird feeder... bits spilling out all over
But, anyway, here are Abbigail and Isabelle in difficult lighting with the final installment of the inspirational plaque series.

The girls are cute with their mermaid picture. I like the warm afternoon light that features in many of your photos.

The light looks lovely. They look oh-so-casual leaning against the plaque
