I also love black/white and matching/opposite dolls. The black dress is very pretty on Cat Woman.

Thanks, all  smile
I have a pink version of that black dress and it's so pretty too.  I thought Catalina would look great in the black one.  (yes, davidd, Catwoman)  Both are dolls I didn't really ex/pect to get, so they were a real treat  grin

"The Secret Garden" for this year's PUDDLE should've been right up my alley for photos, but nothing blooms here in time for an entry, and I spent much of last summer, when I did have flowers, in the house, thanks to the... "neighbourhood".  The forsythia bloomed just in time, like the last 2 days one could enter, so I shot some pix of Cherie.  It was a really difficult spot to work as there were only a few minutes when the sun was in the right spot in between the trees at the side of the yard.

PUDDLE entry.

But of course you can never shoot just one doll photo, right??

These needed a lot of work, as the light was really going.

I agree, Cherie is pretty!
And you managed to keep her necklace chain hanging straight in every photo!

It appears the light cooperated long enough for you to get a number of nicely composed and illuminated images.

The one you selected for the contest is my favorite of the series, although the second one is very nice, as well.

I believe that in the "The Secret Garden" story, or at least the film version there-of (the old film version from the 1940s), the garden is initially a dismal, colorless, overgrown and hostile place.

The garden shots are relaxing.

I told Alliecat that she could take depressing garden photos! smile
But the photos are beautiful.

Thanks, all.

I love this dress that I got from Aliex/press.  I mostly don't binge on doll clothes anymore because the wardrobe cabinet is pretty much full.  But every once in a while I get tempted.
A dress this long doesn't really work outdoors & needed a lot of "arranging".  Plus between the blackflies and the ... "neighbourhood" ... not really being a comfortable place to take photos any more, I wasn't really feelin it.  Anyway, here's Sara with her new gown.

I kinda love the first few pics because the garden border looks like a row of gravestones! You ought to paint those up with dates and stuff for All Hallows season!

Nice outfit, not exactly outdoor wear, but it looks good out there with the foliage.

I saw a comment you left on Flickr -- would moving to England be a more accessible international option than the States, being part of the Commonwealth and all? Maybe that'd be worth looking in to.

I wish. I think I could be very happy in the English countryside. However, I also gather that you need to have a British parent, and not a grandparent, to get in by descent. Feh sad

I looked it up:

The question of whether a Canadian can simply move to England is a common one, often fueled by dreams of ex-periencing British culture, pursuing career opportunities, or simply seeking a change of scenery. The short answer is: no, you can’t simply move to England without meeting specific requirements.

The bold print is in the original article, I did not add the emphasis.

Anyway, I'll cite sources so you can see what I'm seeing, which may not be the full story:

How about you move to Portugal? All you need is moolah:

Or if you're "highly skilled," Australia or New Zealand are options.

It's actually "persecuted" white South Africans that can easily get into the U.S. these days.
