She'll be gone five-hundred miles when the day is done.
We should be back early next week.
Should.

I'm failing when it comes to creating light saber effects. Hahaha, what a heinous crime!! Yeeaahhh, lots of $500 dolls out there for children. And given how much the clothes cost.... srsly dude?
It's not bad... how did you do it? You just need a glowy bit in the centre. My formula only works for Photoshop. Old Photoshop

Totally gotta sing that line while reading or typing it. Can't not do that, y'know? I'm partial to the Arlo Guthrie version, m'self. The Willie Nelson version seems to be better known these days, but I like Arlo's.

Most fun for five bucks one can have in Virginia City! Well, this and the Ghost Town attraction next door! So take ten bucks with ya when ya go!

"World Famous" Clown Motel, Tonopah, Nevada
.
Time and route planning did not allow for an overnight stay. The Clown Motel sits directly adjacent to an old cemetery from the pioneer era, which is pretty neat!

Clown Motel next to a cemetery. What could go wrong??
I am not hung up on clowns as many seem to be, but pioneer zombie clowns would make for an awful movie.
You certainly seem to find interesting lodgings. It's sure a different travel style than housesitting Hope it was a fun trip.

I should try staying at some of the "interesting lodgings" some time. Seems like the cool places are never where I need to be and I end up in a bland, boring motel.
Then again, there's something to be said for bland, boring motels. Bland and boring is fine if it's clean and reasonably priced and all you're gonna do there is sleep.
27 August - A Doll A Day 2025:
Some parcels arrived while I was away from home last weekend.
.
.
I left out a note asking the FedEx and UPS drivers to please leave any parcels that arrived inside the storage shed, which they did.
I'll add these to the pile with my other unopened parcels.

Don't you ever use Airbnb? It used to be cheaper, but isn't now -- still, you can get some nice places that are a little more private and quiet than the standard bland boring motel.
I am sorry about the lack of enthusiasm that results in piles of unopened packages

Another more or less unintelligible, particularly when out of context, story game installment.

Maybe out of context, but I still think it’s fun that other forums do these interactive things.

Maybe you can get some kind of interactive games going on Facebook. It's mostly a matter of having a large enough pool of potential players. There aren't many potential players on most forums anymore.
Wow! Weird! I posted a pic of this exact same figure to A Doll A Day almost exactly two years ago, in August 2023. I did not realize that when I was setting up and snapping the photo just now.
.
.
Head sculpt: YMToys YMT032
Body: TBLeague S41
Dress & lace stockings: circa 1988 Hasbro Maxie doll
Jacket and pink belt with pack: circa 2019 Mattel Wild Hearts Crew doll
Boots: 1/6 Female Zipper Boots via eBay
Chains: fine link costume jewelry chains via eBay
.
What's really odd, though, is that when I went out to the storage shed yesterday looking for this figure, I was thinking it had a different head on it -- which it did back in February 2025, the last time I snapped a photo of it. I was looking for the head more than for the figure itself.
I found the figure, but somehow, she has changed back to her original form!
I guess the lesson here is: don't mess with this chick!

Wow, maybe instead of the Storage Shed of Doom, it's a magic storage shed. Change the energy out there and who knows what might happen!!
She looks a bit alarmed... maybe a bit disoriented about the head-&-body swapping??
The FB "Dolly Kingdom" group has something like 5000 members. But like most FB groups, most are not active, and even the "regulars" in that group have declined, so there might only be a handful of posts a day -- or less. And you don't get "threads" quite the same way, or in as nice a format. So I think it would be harder to do an interactive thing and have it last.

Depends on how old you are, I suppose.
And it's not a very good likeness, compounded by a not-very-flattering camera angle.
