Yes, that is who the figure is supposed to represent. The inekspensive head sculpt is not especially accurate, and I was too cheap frugal to invest in a more representative suit of clothing.

This is the figure (aka doll) I was looking for a few days ago when I found the one who had switched out her own head! I don't know if that means this one is haunted, too.

Ha ha, are you sure you didn’t swap them, like, ages ago?? LOL
Have you got instruments for all these musicians? When you get into looking at sixth scale musical instruments there are lots of temptations.
I should have guessed Alfred Hitchcock.

Not another one!

.

Either I have an addiction, as was suggested to me recently, or a compulsion, which is pretty much the same thing, isn't it?

I feel compelled (which makes it a compulsion, right?) to have a body for each of my action figure heads, or a head for each of my action figure bodies.

Back in my "early days" in the 1/6-scale action figure hobby, a mere four or five years ago, I thought I'd be okay with having a few heads and maybe a few more bodies that I could leave in different costumes and just switch the heads around when I needed a figure to change outfits.

I know, I know, changing the clothes is supposed to be part of the fun, right? I hate changing doll clothes. And for that matter, combing doll hair. So how the heck did I end up with so many dolls?

Maybe it's time to quit cold turkey. Sell 'em all on da Bay, or dump 'em all at the county dump.

Anyway, a TBLeague S41 body showed up. I hope this will be the last one I buy for a long time.

It probably won't be. But I want it to be.

I bet I couldn't recoup even a quarter of what I've paid for this stuff. A tenth maybe. Nobody wants these things "pre-owned" because they have a tendency to spontaneously decompose after a few years.

While I'm at it, I should stop drinking soda pop and maybe go for a walk once in a while.

Yeah... right.

Very atmospheric. She has a very... direct stare.
Well, you could try paring down the collection to the ones you really couldn't part with, and the ones you actually have fun with.
Insert repetitive comment about not worrying how much money you'll get back out of them.
The only doll I've ever bought with even a tiny thought of 'sell if it doesn't work out' was Dawn's head, because what was I going to do with a full-size version of Grell? But then she turned out to be Sunsette's mom and the rest is lovely history! LOL

This photostory installment makes almost zero sense as a stand-alone story. The references and gags are almost entirely based on what has previously transpired in the photostory game, or on one of the photographers who is participating, a guy named Gary aka Skeezicks aka ThePhotogsBlog, who was in the artillery when he served in the military and who has been a long-time avid photographer who has used Nikon equipment almost exclusively.

If you want, you can try to glean some of the context here, but it's probably not worth the effort:

POP MART Peach Riot "Rush Hour" Poppy: Lifeguard figurine

.

Okay... this one is the best one of all the Peach Riot figures. I don't think I can be convinced otherwise. (And please don't try -- I really don't wanna buy any more of these!)

(Yeah, yeah, I know, there's the Receptionist one; and the Rainbow Riot set. But I'm stopping, right here and right now! I have three, and three is enough!)

The POP MART Peach Riot figures stand about 5 inches / 13 cm tall.

Tipsy Bettie Hula Bobber from Retro-a-Go-Go

.

Cast resin dashboard hula doll featuring a likeness of pin-up legend Bettie Page.

Tipsy Hula Bettie stands about 6-1/2 inches (whatever that is in cm) tall.

Tipsy Bettie cost too much, but if you can't live without her, point your canoe toward retroagogo.com and search for "tipsy bettie".

Feeling nostalgic for da islands? Now... do you have the dashboard hula girl on your dashboard?? LOL
I had to google "Peach Riot". Will they be competing with your Pinkys as travel mascots?

Yup. Srsly nostalgic. As a result, I now have three of these PoP Mart figures. I had a plan, you see, to create a mini diorama as a "visualization tool" representing my years in Hawaii, during which I was originally a postal letter carrier and then a teacher (hence the postal carrier and the scientist) and when I lived only a couple of miles from the beachfront park where Baywatch: Hawaii was being filmed (hence the lifeguard).

And then, of course, there was the time my snapshot-while-driving-to-work of a dashboard hula doll ended up as a book cover:

https://readherlikeanopenbook.com/2014/0...-dont-see/

(Dig that: a book review that actually mentions the photographer who snapped the cover photo! There's my ten minutes of fame, right there!)

Hasbro #6947 G.I. Joe Capcom M. Bison Street Fighter II 1/6-scale Action Figure, circa 1993 release

.

Why? Whyyyyyy? Why did I buy this guy a few weeks ago? I mean, he was inekspensive -- about twenty bucks shipped. But still, that's twenty bucks pretty much flushed away!

Maybe I coulda won that $1.8-billion lottery last weekend if I'd invested the twenty bucks in lottery tickets.

It was an impulse buy. I saw the hat -- yeah, the hat -- in a pic on an action figure forum. One of the forum members used the hat on one of his girl action figures and it looked really cute. 'Natch I hadda have a quick look at eBay to see if I could find the hat. I found the hat... with the complete figure.

The figure includes all his original weapons and accessories and even his "I.D. card" which was carefully clipped from the original packaging.

But still... why'd I do it?

I seriously need to get ahold of myself when it comes to impulse control.

(I think maybe I finally figured out why I've been on a low-key spending spree lately. Not enough to put myself in dire financial straits, but enough that I'm accumulating crap I don't need and don't really want that's starting to put a squeeze on things I really need and want as well as taking up space I don't really have. I'm pretty sure I can stop now that I've figured it out -- and now that the junk that's showing up in the mail is more annoying than fun.)

((It's not even like I can say, "well, yeah, I didn't need this action figure, but it's pretty cool." No, it's a toy-like figure from the early 1990s that doesn't fit in with anything I have that's based on a Capcom video game franchise that I never played and in which I've never had any interest.))
