Cute! Is that too small for 4" dolls? I'm thinking these are tiny figures...?
You didn't get the snow?

Brief snow flurries mixed with rain that did not accumulate. 28 April - A Doll A Day 2026: . ![]() Hot Toys TMS047 1/6-Scale Artillery Trooper

29 April - A Doll A Day 2026:
. ![]() Like You Need Another Hole in yer Head
Using a pocket knife and a thumbtack to poke holes in doll head to install earrings. To my surprise, my janky approach seemed to work. At least so far. 30 April - A Doll A Day 2026: . ![]() Broken Hip
The metal pelvis on this stupid piece of China-made crap Coo Model skeleton action figure broke in three pieces when I tried to adjust the legs in to a sitting position. Super glue didn't fix it. Now I'm trying JB Weld epoxy, but that's not looking promising either. If I can't fix it, I guess I'll break it up and use the bones as background props in diorama scenes. 1 May - A Doll A Day 2026: . ![]() Lucas Trooper
1/12-scale Star Wars "Black Series" Stormtrooper action figure with George Lucas likeness. Why do they use an "old George Lucas" head sculpt on this figure? When Lucas made Star Wars he was young and slim and had jet-black hair. That said, there's something about "greying Lucas" that is iconic. When I picture George Lucas in my mind, I picture the late-middle-aged "grey" Lucas, not the skinny dark-haired early-30s Lucas. I'm not sure why that is.

Haha, I'm a lil surprised George Lucas signed off on being a stormtrooper. I'd've thought he'd rather be a Jedi
![]() Too bad about the skeleton. But you even have a use for it in diorama ideas!?, so that's pretty clever. I don't suppose doll manufacturers do anything much different when they add earrings.

. ![]() Do-Over – Different Earrings
I found better earrings for this 1/6-scale action figure project; well, better as in they will better fit the visual style I am attempting to achieve.

. What? A crappy Kylo figure for May the Fourth? Not anybody cool, like Vader or Tarkin or that weird devil guy sitting in the background in the cantina on Tatooine; not even Jar-Jar, but lame-beyond-lame Kylo? It doesn't really matter. I guess I don't really care much about Star Wars anymore. I found this cheap Kenner Kylo fig a few minutes ago while rummaging around in the storage shed. I also found a length of coax cable. Coax cable. Remember that stuff? We used to use coax to hook up our VCRs. Remember VCRs? Of course you don't. VCRs are an outmoded technology (that has never been topped for pure awesomeness) from the era of the original real Star Wars movies, before Vader had a wussy whiny crybaby grandson. I refuse to accept that Vader's grandson nonsense. Or Han's son, for that matter. Han and Leia adopted an orphan, that's the only legit ex-planation. Stupid story arc, Solo's supposed son killing Han Solo. That was so contrived and stupid. Did I mention stupid? And then we're all supposed to cheer when Kylo and Rey, the Missing Link from the Skywalker clan who is also related to the Emperor, get together? The inbreeding is strong in this family. As I said, I found the coax cable in the storage shed. It's a really nice short length of cable of a higher quality than is typical. I don't remember where it came from, but I remember why I kept it: it is a nice length of cable. I might need it some day. Except, I won't need it. I've lived here 11-1/2 years now. I haven't needed a coax cable since I moved here. I'd love to believe that one day I'll build a beautiful home theater set-up with a big screen and surround sound and all manner of gadgetry wired in so I can watch Star Wars laserdiscs in full THX audio awesomeness, but realistically, that's never gonna happen, and now all of a sudden I'm totally depressed just thinking about it not happening. I'm gonna toss the cable in the trash, and Kylo too. Except I think I'll pull Kylo's head off first, and keep the head-helmet as a background prop to use in my action figure photos.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

The useless "tech support" people at Rogers Cable nearly have brain aneurysms every time I try to e
lain that I still have a coax cable connection and not a digital box... every time the service goes out. Which is often. And it's crappy even when it's on. And I keep saying there's no point going through all the frigmarole to get something else all hooked up if I'm leaving soon. I'll just stick it out till then. I've been saying that for.... too long ![]() I also still use my VCR. Or I would, if I could get the VHS recording heads fixed again. But of course "you can't get that here" either. The place that used to repair such things, on the mainland, closed. There isn't anything nearby. Maybe I'll get that fixed "someday" too... Feh.

I don't know if you can get parts for VCRs anywhere anymore. Or at least not new parts. I'd guess that most repair parts are salvaged from old decks at this point. 5 May - A Doll A Day 2026: . ![]() Super Agent Yuki 7 -- work-in-progress
