That little record player is the cutest thing, and so are the accompanying record albums! It looks like a relic right out of the arly 1980s... or maybe late 1970s.

I wonder if the girls will know how to work it? They're kinda young. I hope they figure out how to set the speed for the 33rpm albums to 45rpm (or 78 rpm if the turntable has it) so they can have some laffs.

Do you remember when older record players had a slower speed, I think it was 16rpm? It took me a long time to find out the 16rpm speed was for "talking books." Audio books are not a new concept, they've been around for at least as long as LP records, so since the late-1950s I guess, and they were recorded at a slower speed so they could get more playing time out of each disc.

This is a really fun pic.
