Aw, nostalgia... Kaimuki isn't far from where I lived that winter (Mo'ili'ili).  

  Near the Ala Wai Canal! And McCully Street! McCully Chop Suey! (I never went there, but McCully Chop Suey was sort of a local landmark in the area.)
