Uh oh.
I do NOT need to start collecting another line of dolls... but I've just been off and had a google, and they are really cute! Another type of doll that would be a great travel buddy -- small enough to pack along anywhere.
They would be an appropriate size to hang out with my mini crew.

They are adorable... and relatively inex.pensive. Your crew needs some new friends

She’s very pretty, and looks quite sophisticated and elegant. Beautiful soulful eyes like that make me wonder if I could change some eyechips myself… Haven’t been brave enough to try yet though.

Spectacular eyes on this girl!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

KiraKira eyechips have always been my favorites... now that her shop is no longer around, I wish I could find someone else that makes dark brown, realistic chips. The market is sadly lacking! My current favorite etsy shop is this one; I just wish they'd do a bigger variety of browns: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ChunSupplies?search_query=eye

You should totally bite the bullet... I've changed dozens of pairs, and the only one that gave me issues in terms of the eyechips themselves was the Yeolume that I posted about... and even she turned out OK in the end! My biggest issue is usually screws that refuse to budge in opening up the head (I still have 3 or 4 dolls that I've never been able to open, despite repeated attempts), but changing out the eyes themselves is really not bad at all. A Dal would be super simple to do because you don't have to worry about the eye-blink mechanism, but even the Pullips just take a bit of patience in terms of getting everything to fit together correctly-- it sounds much more daunting than it is!

You're probably right. From a few videos and photos showing all the little pieces I just went "eughh"... After a sewing machine, a vacuum cleaner, two space heaters and a dishwasher, a doll head shouldn't be that hard... I'm just reluctant because if I did mess it up, I'd have to beg for help from someone online and mail them the head to fix!

It really isn't... I'm the least mechanically-minded person ever, so if I can do it, you definitely can!

Is it the lighting, or does this girl have slight purple highlights in her hair?

It's the lighting... she does have two-toned hair (blond highlights on brown), but sadly no purple! That would be a really cool wig.

What fabulous hair. And the dress is really cute too. Did you make it?
