anything you want - lol - we usually bring 1-4 dolls each, a camera, and anything we've already talked to others about selling - i hope you have fun with us all ^^

Hurray for you! The meet is very casual, so the only necessities are a doll or two that you'd like to show off and your camera, plus some money for lunch. We can also exchange cell phone numbers in case we have trouble meeting up.

That might be a good idea since I've never been there before. I just hope the weather holds out until then. I don't want to pay for Amtrak so, I' going to take the metro, but the best stop for me is still an hour away from home. If it's snowing, I don't think I want to make that kind of a drive.

I will note that I have only a two-mile drive to the train station, then three hours on the train, then I arrive at Union Station. So, unless I have major car trouble. there is an actual blizzard, or the trains aren't running, I will be there snow or no snow!

If you decide not to come due to weather, just post here and let us know! We might end up wandering around the station a bit and we wouldn't want to leave if we thought you were still coming But I really hope you'll come - we all love love meeting new people and it's so much fun to just relax and chat about dolls all day. I think you'll really enjoy it. As others have said, just bring dolls and something for lunch (brought or money).

One more thing though - since you're coming via Metra, make sure you are coming into Union Station. If you're going to Ogilvie you'll have to walk a few blocks south to Union for the meetup. Which station you get to depends on which line you're taking.

Weather forecast for Chicago doesn't predict any snow yet, although it does suggest temperatures around 32. So dress up warm.

I found the right train to get me to Union Station, but I swear, WI and IL hate each other so much, they make the trains difficult on purpose. Hence the hour drive to get to the right place. *sigh* As far as weather, its been so screwy up here this winter, I wouldn't be surprised if dropped a foot of snow or if it was 50 degrees on Saturday. I'm really excited though, I can't wait. Thanks for all being so helpful.

Awwwwwe... I won't be able to make it to this meet. Hopefully there will be others before PUDDLE! The people at my job thought it would be brilliant to roll out a new system no one is used to. Guess who gets to be the point person... This chick.
