Random idea during another photoshoot turned into a lot longer shoot. I used to do this with flowers.
Daesani started it, but then everyone else wanted to have a go.
Miki, ready for some colourful fun.
Undersea with Penny again.
Crystal looks gorgeous in any setting.
Scarlett in Wonderland? "Hello from down the rabbit hole!"
Newbie Isabelle represents the J-Dolls.
Sunsette ("because the world revolves around
meeeee...")
Thanks for looking

Thanks everybody
It's actually really easy; all you need is a sheet of acetate (like transparency film). You just have to roll it up, line it up with some good reflections, and shoot down the tube. Used to do this with flowers and a closeup lens:
Had never thought of doing it with dolls & flash. You don't know what you're going to get with the flash, as it changes the reflections a lot. The second light was a bit too much and bleached things out.
(As you can see, it doesn't take much room and I didn't even clear the clutter off the table
)

That's so interesting! Thanks for sharing! When I saw the first photo, my first impression was that I was looking into a tuba or something of that nature.

Thank you for sharing the trick, the pictures look amazing! I'm with everyone who mentioned Penny especially, it looks like she really is underwater.
