PUDDLE is only three months away - seriously! So it's time to talk about the contests. First up is the online photo/art contest - anyone in the world can enter, even if you are not attending PUDDLE on June 4.

Is it allowed to have a photographic element of the entry that isn't your own? I read the rules, that "all entries must be the original work"... but can you have a photo backdrop for a setup if you didn't take that background photo?
A bit last minute, I'm thinking about sending a second entry, but the background would be an image from a book.

It never occurred to me until a couple of days ago, that I should have scoped out the old visitor center at work. When they relocated it, they left behind a lot of the old space related displays. Totally blew that opportunity. Although I'm paranoid that security would show up to ask me what the heck I'm doing there. Maybe the next time I'm over there for a meeting in the auditorium, I'll bring a mini and my camera. At least I'd have an excuse for being in the building.

Anyways, I've been totally stumped for an idea until about a week ago. So I should be able to get at least one entry together before the deadline.

Oh c'mon! Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Sailor Moon, X-Files, astronauts, planets, astronomy, aliens, Twilight Zone, bad 50s alien movies, dreaming of life on other planets....?

Great ideas that all require appropriate costumes and backgrounds, aliens and other props. That's the part I was struggling with.
