She's been sitting on the old couch looking reproachfully at me for days.
But after having been away for 10 days I was kinda slammed with post-trip sortitalloutandstowit, extra gardening, news deadline, other job hours, and I still haven't caught up with everything. But it's been so nice out, I finally took some pictures.
I won Satti at PUDDLE. She's the first full-size Dal to join the crew.
Of course we went to the beach, which is kind of the introductory photo shoot for most of the new arrivals.
She immediately seems comfortable here...
...and wanted to e lore...
She was hoping for a friend but it was a shed empty shell.
"Hello?"
After some wardrobe e erimentation, more pix out back.
Thanks to Dawn for helping win a Dal-size outfit for "dress like your doll"
"Where am I???"
This is really small, but it mostly works, and it's cute on her.
Attitude!
I love this on her. But it needs a lot of work. It's way too big & all clipped together in the back. I'm not sure what to cut out or tack.
The minis weren't quite sure what to make of this development...
"Is she staying?"
"I dunno, she's got luggage..."
"Did anyone ask Sunsette?"
New sisters!
Things worked out.
I don't usually have the e erience where I feel a doll is "telling me what her name is" as some say they do. I was just going to call her Satti, because that's not too weird, but late last night I decided I could hear her insisting that her name is Samantha. It seems very clear.
So, OK... Samantha Satti it is.
A huge thank-you to the PUDDLE judges, wherever they may be, and thanks for looking!

She's adorable! And I absolutely love your photos. Your dolls look so alive in them (good way alive, not Chucky alive, lol)!!!

Great backdrops for photos!
I love that bicycle outfit on her, very retro. It almost looked like she was wearing a romper at first glance.
The picture of the minis eyeing her up is too good, I keep scrolling back up to look at it!

Samantha Satti... was the pirate hat part of her original outfit, or did you make that for her? It's such a fun hat, pirate style with colorful floral fabric! Now you'll need to track down another Pullip-sized sword!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Having grown up doing nature & scenic photography, I'd never have guessed I'd now be shooting dolls. Making them look alive is always my goal -- like real little people doing things, and not like awkwardly posed toys. Sometimes I shoot a lot of pix to get the one I want.

It's rather an odd outfit; TrueFan says it looks like she was kidnapped by pirates and made herself an outfit out of the curtains. (Pirates wouldn't have curtains, but whatever... ) Now I keep thinking of that when I look at that outfit.

Our favourite shot was also her at the door (with luggage) and the minis. It made us laugh.
And your beach is great for the intro shots, which is fortunate for the pirate crew

She definitely made that outfit out of something that was not intended for pirate wear!

I love this series of photos. She looks infinitely adorable! I love the one where she sits on the tree trunk. The first one with the bicycle is super cute too. I think bicycle needs more camera time as well. It is too adorable to see once a year

I think she looks really cute in this outfit & hat.
