I’m really enjoying this story - and the guest appearance of Emily the Strange was a bonus.
And thanks for the link to Rosamund - I can see how they got Emily from the word-words but was puzzled by Rosamund.

That would be a lot of ex-ploding heads... which would make for an interesting photo!

Yes, the "Rosamond" reference was definitely obscure, but also an opportunity to show that the Ameliæ can be effectively snarky when they so choose. Cross them at your peril!

The poor things seem to face multiple challenges. But at least they can interpret pictographs!
28 December – A Doll A Day 2019:
Part IV
"Let's open the box!"
"Yes! Let's open the box!"
"But it's not just a box! It's a PRESENT!"
"That's right! It's a PRESENT!"
"Let's open the PRESENT!"
"I hope it's a good present!"
"ALL presents are good presents!"
"I can see something!"
"Me too! I can see something in the box!"
"What do you see in the box?"
"I see... I see... I see SOCKS in the box!"
"Oh NOOOO!!!! The present IS a box of socks!"
"NOT all presents are good presents!"
"Wait! Wait! What ELSE is in the box?"
"I see SHOES in the box!"
"Those are boots, not shoes."
"I see... what do you call those?"
"Culottes? Pantaloons? Jodhpurs?"
"And... is that a corset?"
"Hey, I wear a corset!"
"Me too! I wear a corset!"
"I wear boots and jodhpur-culotte-pantaloons AND a corset!"
"And we all wear a pink blouse!"
"IT'S ANOTHER ONE OF US! IT'S... AN AMELIA!"
"And she's perfect! A perfect Amelia!"
"Never removed from box!"
"Limited edition and never removed from box!"
"She's too pretty to take out of the box!"
"She's too perfect to take out of the box!"
"She's too limited and rare to take out of the box!"
"Maybe... maybe we should sell her!"
"Maybe she's worth a lot of money!"
"We could be rich!"
"STOP! We've been through this before!"
"Yes, we've been through this before!"
"We've been through this before?"
"Yes, we've been through this before!"
"Okayyy... so.... what does that mean?"
"It means that Amelia is NOT FOR SALE!"
"That's right! That's right! Amelia is NOT FOR SALE!"
"Not for sale! Now there are LOTS of us!"
"Lots of us!"
"If there are lots of us, we're going to need lots of socks!"
"Lots of socks! I hope we get another present soon!"
"Amelia is one of us!"
"Amelia is another one of us!"
"ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"
"ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"
"ONE OF... oh. Okay."
"We need to find our tools!"
"Tools to take you out of the box!"
"Somebody get a hammer!"
"Somebody get a saw!"
"Somebody find the scissors!"
"I'll get the dynamite!"
THE END
Finally!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

LOL! Nooo, that can't be the end if they still have to get her out of the box!!
I don't think anyone is surprised, here... But Amelia #7 looks a bit bewildered. I had to laugh at the first closeup because she seemed like "What the **** have I gotten into?"
Is Lucky #7 Amelia the one who will break the feedback loop -- odd number and all -- and get them thinking coherently again? Will she emerge as the leader...? Somebody's got to get this bunch firing on all cylinders again.
This was fun. I hope to see some more of their adventures.
Oh, and congats on the new addition!

Excellent ending to the story. Although, it’s a but concerning they still want to dynamite her out of the box, considering what happened to the last one!

It’s probably for the best if they don’t get their act together, because if they work out how badly they outnumber everyone else they may stage a successful coup.

29 December – In To the Uncanny Valley
I dunno about these TBLeague/Phicen seamless figures. They're kind of... disturbing.
This would be a nice... and extremely modest by seamless figure standards... uniform if the fabric weren't so heavy. "Toy-like" action figure costumes will not work well with the more realistic face sculpts of seamless figures, I'm afraid.

The fabric might be too heavy, but the uniform seems to be well made. The doll, er, figure is a bit too realistic for my tastes, but she's still a beauty!

The uniform does appear really well made. I would say this is gonna require requested tailoring, really. Though graphic prints would work, if that's the type of thing you wanted - like Mattel's occasional tie in fashion pack that is superhero or other media related, well that could work.

Yeah, I am not overly keen on them, actually, but these figures are "part of the scene" at the action figure forum of which I'm a member, so I sort of succumbed to peer pressure. I'll try some photos with them, and if I ultimately decide they're not for me, I will have no qualms about sending them on to new homes. Unlike, say, Maudlynne or Bratz Jade, I do not feel any emotional attachment to these figures. And perhaps curiously, considering that they are sculpted to appear more life-like, they do not seem anywhere near as "alive" as do my more toy-like dolls and figures.

I have read that some Barbie outfits work well on seamless figures. And yes, graphic prints would probably work better than "real details." It's a matter of fabric thickness. I should probably try using just the uniform top or just the jacket rather than layering the pieces.
30 December – Smart Doll Cocoa Mirai
Addie adds to her post-apocalyptic diesel-steampunk ensemble by borrowing a hat from Pullip Eos.
Oh, yeah... Cocoa Mirai's name is Adeline, of course shortened to "Addie."
