Elfy's Doll a Week 2020
At least for Finn and Daisy, one peanut is probably an entire meal, so they only need to open one.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Haha, he does not look impressed.
Just tell him the calories ex-pended while trying to open it make up for the ones you eat inside. xp

Seeing as how we've been seeing a few books here of late, a couple of our readers thought they should get in on the act and show off one of their favourites.

Here are Belle and Felicity with one of their all time favourites: the Harry Potter saga.

A close up of Belle.

And Felicity demanded equal time with a close up of her, too.

We do also have special editions of this series, but they're still in the plastic. These are the ones we have for reading.

Nice collection of hardcover editions!

In Australia did you receive the UK editions or the American editions? Looks like UK versions, because I think I see Philosopher's Stone rather than Sorcerer's Stone.

Felicity is look especially fetching today!

In Australia we tend to get the UK versions, so yes we have Philosophers Stone rather than Sorcerer. This means that we also have Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London as opposed to Midnight Riot, which is what  it was called in the US.

This forum has quite a few avid doll readers, doesn't it? As well as avid human readers.

I think that dolls & books go together very well, so it's hardly surprising that there's a cross-over on the forum!

We used to have 2 reading copies of the series (one each), but passed along one set to our older niece when she ex-pressed interest in reading them.

Felicity looks very pleased that she's gotten equal close-up time with Belle.

It's football finals time here again, a bit later this year, due to you know...

Once again my and Evie's Tigers are right in there at the pointy part of the season. This was Evie on Friday night watching the Preliminary final against Port Adelaide.

She's here with Daniel the duck and a new addition to her Tiger crew; Trent the dragon. I think this was about when Kane Lambert kicked the goal that put the Tigers into their 3rd Grand Final in 4 years.

She looks all ready to go! Nice that she has some colour-coordinating friends to barrack with too.
How are they managing games, are there no audiences as some leagues over here are doing?

They started the season as normal with no crowds in attendance. Realised that it just wasn't going to work, so shutdown for a few weeks. They tried a few things, but eventually set up hubs in Queensland (the teams based in Adelaide and Perth were allowed to mostly be at home). Instead of being in Melbourne like always, the Grand Final will be held on Saturday at the Gabba in Brisbane. The preliminary final on Friday night was held in Adelaide, because that's where Port are from, so Richmond (my Tigers) travelled from their hub on the Gold Coast to Adelaide and played, then went back to their hub. The other game last night featured Geelong against Brisbane and was in Brisbane. Geelong won, so we'll have two Victorian based sides facing off for the Premiership in Brisbane. Definitely weird. Next week I'll hopefully have a pic with her whole crew, including the garden gnomes. Fingers crossed that the Tigers can salute again this season.

Gotta support the Tigers, seeing as how the 'Pies aren't in the mix.

Exciting pic! A "true fan" for sure!

Now that's a team spirit! I can't pretend I have the foggiest idea about any of this, but go Tigers!
