And here we go again for this year's Doll A Week!
You may recall that I got a 2020 Tokyo Softball Barbie in December, for stealing the outfit for the Pullips. Mostly I wanted a "Mini Me" version. She's not exactly a Mini Me - I forgot to put the glasses on (or even sunnies), but I'll remember that for next time.
Jo-Meg waiting for the game to start
And fielding (the ball is really neat - it has a little hole that fits her thumb so it looks as if she's holding the ball)
And batting - the helmet she's wearing it a piece of sports memorabilia we saw at the local softball/baseball supply shop. They had a whole heap of Major League teams, and the Toronto Blue-Jays are my nominal team to support if I'm asked.

She’s such a cute little soft baller. Can’t be a mini you unless she plays second base.

Ah, Jo-Meg rocks that outfit! And the blue helmet makes it complete!
It's awesome that she can actually hold the ball with the help of that little hole. Mattel seems to have some creativity left in them after all, that's a clever idea!

Perfect fit with the uniform! Nice find on the batting helmet! What a fun Pullip put-together outfit!
Not that I, personally, would recommend trying to find and acquire multiple qua titles of anything but only eight more uniforms and you could field an entire team. Merely an observation, you understand!

not unless I can find them for cheaper - I really don’t need to spend $25 each for the uniform (especially as it’s pink, so not even my team colours - which are navy & white). But nice try, I applaud the effort!

I can’t tell you anything about the players or how they go - they rarely feature on the tv coverage down here. So it was rather nice to find a solitary item in the shop - Elfy spotted it in the midst of all the super-popular teams.

week 2.
We put out loose change into a piggy bank, and then every 6 months (our birthdays are that far apart), we cash it in & spend it on something "frivilous". A dinner out, movies, something we wouldn't normally buy for ourselves.
So I bought myself a opy of Mulan (the live action movie), and one of the Rainbow High dolls Rainbow High site. After much debating over which one to get (my favourite colour is green, but her outfit did not appeal to me at all!), we decided on Sunny Madison (the yellow one).
She comes with additional outfits & shoes
And something I thought was really cool - a coat-hanger, and a pants/skirt hanger!
Sunny is debating what jacket to wear.

Miranda and Tristan make a stylish and elegant pair!
Sunny looks cheerful, and those are fun outfits and accessories! That’s a fine invest, ent of “spare change!”

Sunny is a cutie! I've been following the news about this line, but ultimately decided against getting them. I do like their cute and nicely articulated bodies, though!
Miranda and Tristan look like a bit unusual, but very classy couple!

Sunny is cute. I’ve also been noticing people’s photos as they get these. Her body looks sturdier than Pullip; how is she for articulation and poseability?
The spare change jar to spend on something fun is a great idea

I was interested in these dolls at first, as there are some aspects of them that I like, but in the end I have decided against getting one. I do like to look at photos of them though. Sunny seems so vibrant - I really like her almost all-yellow (except for the rainbow accents) wardrobe, I'm all about single-colour and coordinated doll outfits - but I also really love the rainbow accents, especially on the platform shoes.
Ah, good to see Miranda and the handsome boy seem to be getting along fine. So the name Tristan did stick in the end?
