That would make an amusing scenario!

It doesn't seem big enough for a Sindy bed. I think it fits the MH girls far better. I could also see the EAH crew liking it.

Sindy has certainly shoved her way onto the day bed. But it does seem to be very cosy now on it.

Does it count if you googled?
I do at least know of the show because Mom & Dad mentioned it. Also I had to kind of chuckle at the plastic foliage because I have some of that from Mom & Dad's era as well.

Yes, y'all signed up for a whole year! No quitting.
I usually visit every day but I guess I forgot last night what with a ton of life stuff going on.

Wasn't the very interesting thing from Laugh In? I may have been a bit thrown because the solider reminded me a little of Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes, but then he would have been saying 'I know nothing! Nootthhing!'

Pillow fight + swords sounds... like something I need to keep in mind!

Nope, doesn't count.
I am not as old as your Dad ... who, I understand, if his "author bio" online is accurate, was a WWII veteran. I don't know if the show was broadcast in Canada. And I do now own a copy of The Heroine of Long Point , so thank you for providing a link a while back.

I stole the plastic foliage off graves. Well, not exactly. I fished the plastic foliage out of a dumpster after Memorial Day a couple of years ago after somebody else had cleaned off graves at a local cemetery.

Life stuff, I know; it pretty much sucks most of the time.

Yes, from Laugh In , well done, young man! Very similar to Sgt. Schultz and his "I know nothing! Nootthhinnng!" Ah, yes, those kinder, gentler times of not so very many years ago (or maybe it was many years ago) when audiences were willing to laugh at silly German soldiers.

There were actually some action figures available from Sideshow Collectibles a few years ago of Sgt Schultz, Colonel Klink, and Colonel Hogan. They turn up on eBay from time to time, but of course, like everything else (except for things I'm trying to sell ), the prices have been increasing significantly lately.

They're all gonna be daydreaming of a quiet place alone before long
Yes, Dad was an aircraft engine mechanic, in several places across Canada. I'm sure "Laugh-in" was shown here; I think they used to watch it. Before my time, obviously ...Cool that you found a copy of the book.
Life-stuff not really sucky, just crazy-busy, a few very long days and too-short nights (05-14-2021, 07:33 AM)Elfy Wrote: ... but then he would have been saying 'I know nothing! Nootthhing!' ...wait, isn't that Manuel from Fawlty Towers....?

Manuel is ‘Que?’In high school I had science teacher who was an Austrian conscript in the German army during WW2. He got sent to the Russian Front and somehow managed to survive. Hogan’s Heroes was his favourite TV show, largely because it made the Germans look like a bunch of idiots.
Laugh In was responsible for making Goldie Hawn’s name.

The stuff on the day bed is now reminding me of a kids-song
 Ten in the bed
 and the little one said
 "Roll over, roll over"
 so they all rolled over
 and one fell out.

 Nine in the bed...

then it repeats until the last one is left. There's different versions of what the last verse is, the one I found quickly on line has

There was one in the bed
 and the little one said

 "Alone at Last!"

The Clawdeens don't look very happy about their nice afternoon of lounging around is getting more and more crowded!

I haven't heard that in decades! Great theme for this series (spoiler alert: ongoing series) of pics!

		Hahaha, that's cute!
It's funny to see how small the set is and where it is, because in the photos you don't really think about that.
