30 September - Vintage Knock-Off Action Figure

This is not an actual GI Joe or Action Man figure; rather, the head is from an unlicensed or knock-off copy of the Adventure Team era, flocked hair (or Lifelike Hair & Beard) Joe and AM figs.

The condition of the hair and beard lead me to suspect this figure may likely have been re-flocked (had the hair restored) at some point, or it may not have been a flocked hair figure to begin with.

The probably 1970s or early 1980s head has been grafted to a 21st Century Toys action figure body from the 2000s.

This figure was recently reassigned from BAMComix Headquarters in the UK to South-Central Utah Command HQ in the U.S.

The character's name is Felix, and he may be seen in a photo from his days in England here:

Had to laugh at the enormous mugs in that photo.
Funny to think that knockoff figures were being made in that era. I tend to think of it as a more modern phenomenon, but I guess not.

Ooooh, I haven't had toasted pumpkin seeds since I was a kid! I know that you usually roast some up every season.

Very atmospheric shots! Both have a lot of "mood" but I really like the first one.
Even though in that one she looks like she's ready to bean someone.

I think there are fall festivals somewhere that do have pumpkin trebuchets passing as "entertainment". That kind of thing always grinds my gears because it's such a waste.

Okay, it's a doll, not an actual girl, and the doll is sitting on cardboard stairs with miniature battery-operated string lights in the background.

4 October – Zelinda Plots Halloween Hijinks with a Friend

Just to be clear, Zelinda is also a doll; but you probably knew that, since this is an A Doll A Day project. And "Zelinda" is a made-up name; the actual name for this doll / action figure is TBLeague S45, but I like "Zelinda" better.

Well, "Zelinda" is not an entirely made-up name. It's the name of the niece of 19th-century astronomer, writer, and psychic investigator Flammarion.

Zelinda is a cool name, and she is cute. Now she looks like she's asking, "who do we chuck this at?"
Your cardboard stairs look good. The camera angle is one of those that makes me go "oh, bleep" and get to work on photoshop!

  The stairway model is wearing modest shorts with an interior blue liner that fits snug around her legs, so there is nothing at all requiring Photoshop in this image! She is a modest girl... or modest dolly!

Nearly everyone who has commented on the photo (which is not a large number, l should clarify) has said something similar. I guess I need to re-visit that photo, and either make it apparent that nothing is showing, or make sure something is showing.

She's pretty too. If I wanted to get into yet another type of dolls, these photos might tempt me.
I probably only noticed the angle because I've done it far too many times where I didn't realize I'd shot right up someone's skirt and didn't see it on the tiny camera screen, only afterward on the computer and after all the photoshoot setup had been put away!
