The Wrenegades!

I recently purchased these 1990s era G.I. Joe figures from another 1/6-scale hobbyist named "Wren" who is thinning out a collection. Naturally, they became... The Wrenegades!

And only fifteen bucks apiece! The seller threw in several additional backpacks, belts, and weapons, including a grappling hook that really shoots! There's a super cool mummy as well; it's in this pic, but hidden behind the intrepid looters adventurers.

I have a stash of foliage stolen from graves that I use to set up temporary foresty-jungley settings.

I didn't personally steal the foliage from the graves. I dumpster dived for it. At the local refuse transfer station (aka rubbish dump), I sometimes find artificial plants before and after "grave decorating" holidays like Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

One of these strands of plastic greenery still has a $24.95 price tag from Hobby Lobby attached. Fake plant stuff ain't cheap!

Okay, so, the concept of The Doll Chat Game is dolls chatting! Not people chatting via text comments. It's s'posed to be dolls chatting via photos with either captions or word bubbles... or silently if they've mastered the art of mime.

Izzat so hard?

Yeah, apparently zat's hard.

The "doll chat" got interrupted when somebody asked about how to keep the hair from looking messy. Somebody else replied, suggesting using a damp toothbrush. Somebody posted an out-of-context photo of dolls with not-messy hair they said was styled with a toothbrush. Somebody else agreed that was a good idea and they'd try it. Somebody else quoted the entire conversation so they could add "Thanks, I'll try."

Return of The Headless Ghost Doll

I posted a pic of this doll back in August, the 29th of August, so one month and one day ago. At that time the doll had a head, but not the head I was ex-pecting it to have.

Since that time the doll has been sitting untouched in a pile of other figures. Tonight I pull her out and... she has no head!

This is gettin' creepy!

Logic suggests that the head was loose and has probably fallen off and is hidden underneath something.

I'll look for the head... later. For now I'm keeping my distance... behind a barricade of garlic and wolfsbane.

I mean... it's not even Hallowe'en Month yet!

In keeping with an idea proposed by Flickr member MiskatonicNick, I, too, shall rechristen "Lucy" as "Mircalla, Countess Karnstein," a reference to the Sheridan Le Fanu story Carmilla and to the Hammer Studios motion picture of the same name.

I recently learned that an alternative to the LiveJournal personal blogging site popular in the early 2000s called DeadJournal still exists.

LiveJournal.com, Dreamwidth.org, and DeadJournal.com were all personal blogging sites based on similar formats back in the late-1990s and early 2000s... and although nearly forgotten and almost as quiet as, say, Dolly Market or The Dal House   , all three sites still exist. So what'cha think, should we move this party over to DeadJournal?
