She is pretty cool. I wish Pullips had this kind of sturdy articulated body.

Dunno where THAT week went sad
Snapshot time with Noelle on the kitchen counter. Typical light-painting session turned into 31 shots to get a few with the right lighting.

You are a light-painting master! This pic is a perfect blend of pretty and spooky!

Love the moisture drops on the petals.

The velvety darkness in the background effectively sets off the figure.

The way you avoided overeksposing that silvery-white hair is amazing!

Just the right amount of almost-light in the eyes -- revealing enough detail to make them look alive while maintaining an aura of mystery.

Really fun shot!

I'm glad you like it.  I wasn't quite thrilled but I guess I like them better after looking at them for a while.  I'd just finished watering.  And I didn't use the photos where the clutter behind her showed up!  LOL

Wait... are you in a cave? Or... were you in a cave; I'm assuming you got out.

Are you camping? As winter sets in? In Canada? I thought Neytiri and Jake preferred warm climates.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but it looks like adventure, for sure!

We ALL prefer warm climates around here.
I think we're in the wrong place sad
Definitely not a camper either!

.................................................................................

Early for pic-a-week this week. It's raining (FINALLY!?!!; quite a few folks still have no water -- some, since, like, August), and the light wasn't very good there, but if I waited the mushroom is likely to either be done or get eaten by slugs. So here's our resident botanist Miki in a quickie snapshot.

A fungus the size of her head... and that's saying something when you're talking about Pullip dolls, even Pullip Minis!

Fun little scene, and what a strange and remarkable find she's found!

I was shocked to see that mushroom had ex-panded its top to something like 4" across; I thought it would just stay like that... but all I found at that point was the slug-chewed and rain-melted remains, so, good thing I shot the pic when I did. Now there's just a weird little hole in the ground with a few white threads in the bottom, where the stem came up.

Took a quick break from cleaning up garden boxes to get a few pix of Celeste in the last bits of light.

Celeste looks so cool! If I were cool enough, that's someone I'd want to hang out with.

The hair is perfect, just the right mix of neat and messy, of casually windblown and brushed.

She is indeed cute and cool!  smile

I don't often make "political" statements with my dolls, but, here we are.
A little photoshoot prompted by last week's Universal Ostrich Farm debacle.
Ashamed of my "government", again.  sad

Lovely photo with the radiant backlight.

I read about the ostrich farm situation. I was so angry I almost unfollowed every Canadian I know.

Yup. Every Canadian.

Ehh…?
That sounds kind of like unfollowing every Canadian you know because the government smashed the truckers’ convoy with the Emergencies Act.  Either way I guess I miss the point.

…………………………….…

In a moment of irrationality, I let myself get talked into/talked myself into lugging this back from the dump. Thanks to Dickie the dump guy who salvaged it off the top of an old organ.  The woodwork is beautiful, and I immediately thought “cool doll shelf”.  Of course, for the hypothetical “next house”. I do not have room for it here. But every once in a while I will get something that I say is going to go in the next house. These little gestures are about all I have to keep my hopes up.
Fixing the loose part should have been a 20-minute job, bung a couple of screws into it with the power drill and done. Well, an hour and a half later, having bent three nails, stripped a screw, sheared the head off another, I finally got it shored up.  Holy cow, that wood is hard!!
It will need a bit of refinishing… I will do that “if” it survives the purge and I end up in a place where there is room for it.

It would make for a cute balcony, but they will need something to stand on.
