PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2026**! (#15, Apr. 11)

Oh, wow! That's a really creative use of a frozen puddle!
Very pretty with the fairy lights!
And however you got her to stand on the ice... on skate blades... was very clever!

I haven't done a laying-on-the-ground-at-night photoshoot for a number of years. The last time I did one it started to rain, but the temperature wasn't below freezing! You are truly obsessed... errr... I mean dedicated.

YAY!

What makes it turn? Is there a little motor, like a really slow clock motor, in it?

Or is it the mysterious magnetism of the moon making it move?

That's about what the moon looked like last night.

According to https://www.russellcottrell.com/blog/sunAndMoon.htm :

Moon phase: 0.21, 40.2% lit,
waxing crescent
Relative size: 0.962
Moon age: 6.16330/29.56 days

Was getting her some shoes since we are done with skating photos, and a song I liked came on. Let's dance!

Stay off of my Blue Suede Shoes!

Cute dance pose, and a fun Radio Shack radio.

They probably don't make 'em like that anymore. I won't say how old that radio is.

I love the wreath of flowers! She must be the queen of the forest; or of this forest. What's left of this forest.

The metallic green hair is quite fun, such an unusual color I would think, yet three with that color live with you!

You must be favored by the fae!

Heh. That would be nice smile
When Sara first arrived I thought about rewigging her because she has So.Much.Hair ... but ended up keeping it. I quite like it now.

Credit to someone who posted their Liddle Kiddles on the FB Pullip group, which made me think about digging these two out and trying some photos. I've never photographed them before!

The pic isn't showing for me at the moment, but it works as a link to Flickr.

Wow, Kiddles! Are these originals from the 1960s era? They look good lurking in the moss like that.

I'd forgotten just how tiny they were.

Didn't they originally come packaged in clear plastic storage tubes or something?

Yes, they are original Kiddles. The orange one came in a plastic ice cream cone. I don't suppose I still have that. I don't recall when the yellow one came along but apparently she was in a soda bottle (which I didn't have).
Does Flickr work for you yet? Tonight I find Firefox will not open it, but Edge will. Argh Irritated

I was watching the Artemis II launch yesterday as well. I'm glad there were no technical problems. It's taken them a long time to reach this point.

Flickr was glitchy in the morning yesterday. I mostly use the Chrome browser these days. I've heard from other people I know that Firefox is not as consistent across various websites as other browsers.

I'm not familiar with Edge. Is Edge the native Microsoft browser?

An online friend also recommended two other browsers with which I am not familiar, Brave and Vivaldi.

Yes, Edge is the MS one. It's faster than Firefox at least on my laptop; Firefox can take forever to get going and it wants to update itself like every 3 days. Edge has a creepifying habit of showing a glut of "news" on particular subjects over and over on every new tab, just because you once clicked on one article. It also doesn't display the Dal House forum properly.

It's late, but, it's still "this week" as long as I'm up. This week evaporated into income tax, stewing about the annual wildflower-patch burn (which I SWORE would be the LAST time LAST year Cry ), and watching Artemis. At least the latter provided some fun after a real downer of a previous week.

It hasn't looked or felt much like spring, but at least the crocuses are optimistic. Meanwhile, in the shady back corner of the yard, there is still a patch of snow.

Ergh, taxes. Got 'em done here, too. Is Canada Tax Deadline Day the same as U.S. Tax Deadline Day, 15 April?

So... when is The Big Burn that you weren't going to do ever again but that you're going to do? You should do a "night burn" and take pictures!

The Artemis splashdown was amazing. I guess I hadn't really thought about it in depth before, but the mathematics are insane. Somehow they can calculate how much fuel to burn at what angle relative to the Earth, the moon, the velocity, factoring in movement thru space and rotation of the Earth, and at 25 hours in to the 9 day mission, that final fuel burn determines where and when the capsule will splash down in the ocean eight days later a quarter of a million miles away. And they were precise to the second.

That's some serious math, right there.
