Funny thing - one of the relatives purchased an e ensive robot vacuum vacuum several months ago. I gather from a recent conversation that she spends as much time tinkering with the robot to get it to work as she spends vacuuming with it. The "labor saving" aspects of home robotics are still limited.

Interesteing about the robo-vac. I'd pondered maybe getting one someday in another house if it was bigger and had more bare floors to clean, but I don't want to be tinkering with glitchy tech stuff either.

Yeah, her husband thinks the robo-vac was a waste of money. She says she got it fixed and it's working again.

She's really cute! I wonder how popular these dolls were when they came out?

The Novi Stars were marketed heavily. Like Monster High and Bratzillaz, they even had their own theme song live action video.
Unfortunately, the dolls were overpriced, costing more than Bratzillaz or Monster High, and under-articulated, jointed only at the hips and shoulders. The line only lasted a couple of years. There was an additional year of releases in Europe.

Haha... oh boy, that's a bad earworm. No Jim Steinman-esque epic lyricists were involved
Somehow cute dolls to live action just doesn't work for me.
Do you have every MH doll?

I do not, or did not (I've liquidated most of my MH collection) ever have anywhere near "all" the Monster High dolls or even every character. Mattel was really cranking them out for a while, both new characters and new versions of existing characters. For two years, I believe it was, Monster High de-throned Barbie as the top selling doll of the year.
I think the Bratzillaz video has the catchiest tune and the closest approximation of the live-action performers to the appearance of the dolls.
The Novi Stars song, video, and costuming is extremely lame by comparison to Bratzillaz or Monster High. Or just lame, period.

Interesting about MH outselling Barbie. I'm not sure I ever noticed them till I got into the doll-collecting hobby.

Mattel did not release a "mad scientist" version of the Rallee Radmore character as part of the Wild Hearts Crew doll line... but they should have.

She’s cute… Had to look her up; not familiar with these characters. Is she supposed to be a mad scientist…?

The character is not described as a mad scientist, but I gave her a Barbie lab coat (from a veterinarian set, I think) and called her a mad scientist.

Fun colourful shot. Did she come with the broom or did you make it? (Yes, I could look her up.... Just... not motivated...)

I made the broom a few years ago. It is one of only a very few few miniature props I have made that I have been completely happy with.
