PrettyTiny Film Company Pic-A-Week **2026**! (#20, May 4)

Tax deadline is the 30th.  For no good reason, certain entities are allowed to not send their tax slips till the end of March.
The burn is done, a week ago Thursday, and already nice little grass is growing.  Another scary job done.  "Night burns" come from [censored] "neighbours" slash-&-burning and leaving giant piles of trees burning unattended.  I'm sealed into my bunker with the back door taped shut again to try to keep the smoke out.  This effing place.

Orbital mechanics are pretty amazing.  The "correction burns", not all of which they did, I think, because at least one wasn't necessary, were like 8 seconds of "fine tuning" and just little tweaks ... the entry trajectory being set by the TLI on day 2 is indeed mindboggling math.  They were, I think, actually 20 seconds late from the predicted splashdown!  Must've been a headwind??  LOL  I'm glad losing the row of 7's on their central-time 7:07:07 splashdown didn't prove unlucky!
I loved the sense of fun they brought to the mission, and how the social media dept. joined in, letting Rise "take over" their page for a day, and the fact that Reid snuck Rise off the capsule with them.
I have quite a bit of video to catch up on -- still haven't seen the whole press conference after they landed.

Another overdue late still-this-week-till-I-go-to-bed pic-a-week.... sighh slash
I can not believe another week evaporated.  This one was bogged town with income tax (in fits & starts) & a stinker of an article on municipal election candidates for which I have to track down & interview 17 people.  Blaahhh.
But there must always be time for dolly therapy.

What an impressive "therapy doll." I love that curly hair! And such a pretty outfit, very spring-like.

The crocus flowers looked great at this point.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Isn't she cute.  Some day, maybe, I'll find out who made her?
She needs a new body.  Ugghhh, T2.  Her hands fall off if you look at them.  I managed not to lose them in the grass.

Well, I made it before the end of the week this time, but WHERE did THAT week go???  Auwe!!!!!  News & tax are done but there are many other things I should be attending to and can't get motivated to, not least a crapped out thermostat, and I can't even with the garden tasks Cry
Anyway, some lazy handheld flash shots this week.  I haven't sorted the rest yet.  The amaryllis gave me 9 flowers this year!  I think I took Mariya's pic with it last year too...?

Amaryllis! The Christmas Season is still Christmas-ing! Or at least I thought it was the way the icy bitter wind was howling a couple of days ago. And the weather forecast say 90% chance of snow, glorious snow on Sunday.

Your J-Dolls are so cute. If I hadn't gone so deep in to "action figure" type figures I could be tempted in to J-Dolls. They look like a fun hybrid between fashion dolls and action figures.

The amaryllis has tended to bloom around Easter.  "Some say" they need a dormant period in the cold, but mine just keeps going, so I let it do its thing.
J-Dolls are really gorgeous.  Their faces are so pretty; their eyes are very detailed, and in general the outfits are considered better than Pullips'.  I still haven't got to the rest of that shoot's pix.  Sigh.

Here's Catalina after doing her bit for the PUDDLE photo contest.

She is gorgeous.  One I did not really ex-pect to be able to get!

A little ahead of time for this one, cos I'll be offline tomorrow.
The J's have not previously had a chance to join the May 4th pix.
Happy Star Wars Day!

Yeah, I should've given them a May 4 pic sooner  smile

Another "it's still this week as long as I'm still up" late photo, sigghhh....  and another week evaporated.
Here's Daisy with some dandelions.  Little plastic people don't have to worry about ticks, lying in the grass.
