Dawn was definitely enjoying her time in the sun.

I was too!  And, there were no blackflies.  Doubly good!

The mushroom one is absolutely adorable!

They were really cool mushrooms!

Ha! I don't even remember you taking those backyard photos!
I haven't posted my mushroom and Mississippi photos either. Maybe this will inspire me to.

I am pretty sure you were on the computer.  It was the morning before we went to the parrot rescue.

Lovely continuation of the holiday.  The peek-a-boo one is admirable.
And the one with the doll-sized house (but not door) is cute too

The matching outfits photo is so cute!

I was pretty happy to find more than one copy of these outfits on eBay!  And yes, it's truly dolly kingdom!


Part 5 -- Beyond PUDDLE -- June 27


Some typical Illinois countryside.



We visited the historic town of Bishop Hill, settled by Swedish immigrants in 1846.  It's a national landmark and state historic site, with museums and a bunch of unique little craft and gift shops.  This is the heritage association's headquarters and a museum of life in the colony.



The shady park was full of lovely huge trees, and cool and peaceful on a hot day.  There is a monument for Civil War soldiers.



A big, big lunch in the bakery.  Should have started with dessert.



And, of course, we had a tour of TrueFan's marvelous collection -- it's like a 3D Pullip catalogue you can browse to help you decide which doll(s) you might like to buy next!
"I feel kind of small here..."

With our visit drawing to a close, some logistical issues had to be addressed.
