Oh, that is a truly awful pun Alliecat! I thought my bacon one was terrible enough, but yours beats that hands-down.
Loona, your Skelita is beautiful. Do you still have the skelepuppies too? I remember them from MHA a few years ago (I was Scarlett over there). Daisy did much bettter with her gardening this summer, we got a lot of tomatoes & some blueberries. She’s quite pleased with herself as last year we only got a handful of tiny tomatoes. And Evie is certainly our trouble maker. She leads the others astray quite a bit.

Wow, everybody's on the roll with this hunt!
#9 a calendar Does a silly, absolutely not real one count? If not, I'll retake the photo. Since it's not really legible, the days are Mournday, Tearsday, Weptsday, Urnsday, Cryday, Saddenday and Shunday.

What a gloriously gloomy calendar!
Reflects how I'm feeling these days. Only without the "gloriously" part. Just the gloomy mourning weeping sad part. Lovely pic, clever calendar, brilliant names for the days.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

The calendar idea is very clever, and the names of the days are spot-on.

What an absolutely brilliant calendar! Very clever names, all. (And you sometimes say you have trouble with English?? I'm quite sure I couldn't do something like that in French....)
Alas, I cannot take credit for the pun. Saw it on a Britcom many years ago and have always wanted to use it. However, I'm not sure anyone in my immediate area knows what secateurs even are. Wow, we are over 8 pages and 100 posts on this thread! Cheers to everyone who's been playing along! Here are some of the crew with the next prompts... we seem to have got into a 'thing' with 4 at a time, so..... A house number. Something from another country. I got this in Venice ages ago. (The first pic I took, of Sara wearing it, was just, um, creepy ) What you are reading right now. The oldest thing in your house!! Cherie is holding a piece of "dinosaur bone" from my grandmother's rock collection. I'm waiting to hear from DinoLab in Victoria, whose tour guide thought someone might be able to identify it if I sent some pix. Or at least confirm that that is what it really is. If it isn't, our next contender is Victoria's little treasure: a piece of ballast rock from the original HMS Bounty, which was scuttled in 1790, signed on the bottom by Charles Christian from Pitcairn Island. Wow eh??

Ballast stone from the HMS BOUNTY?!? How cool is that!
I only knew "secateurs" because we used to have a neighbor from England when we lived in Hawaii, and she referred to "clippers" or "nippers" as "secateurs" (and "napkins" as "serviettes" and "eggplant" as "aubergine.") More prompts; I gotta get moving!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

Ooo these new ones are fun! I just finished getting some done, so excited to do more! Especially the "something from another country" theme, I can finally use the dolly maraccas I got in Mexico!!!
If that is really dinosaur bone that's so rad!!! Can't wait to see all the old things omg

Sorry to double post, just finished editing! Still can't find my doll sized radio
7. A used stamp This one is of a total eclipse, which is something super relevant to Ledo but its a big ol secret to everyone else can't spoil my own plot! 8. A blue doll/ figure/ toy Really wanted to do a spooky picture with this cute little voodoo doll lmao 9. A calendar I've kept this calendar since 2018 for obvious reasons (I also recently discovered it has pullip stickers in the back!!!), figured I'd put it to use! 10. A hammer or screwdriver I took a pretty similar photo for dolltober, but the lab scene is one of my faves. It was really hard to just get Ringo's arm in the shot, but I somehow managed 11. A red pen It took some searching, but I remembered I had a red pen my 10th grade English teacher gave me (she used to make us color code our notes. Didn't last long though lol) like 5 years ago. I can't believe it still works. 12. A rainbow I had another photo planned, but it didn't really work out, so this was plan B! My succubi family has rainbow eyes, hopefully its rainbow-y enough! 13. A map I have a star map in the dollhouse and got super excited when I saw the map theme. Here's Comet showing everyone her (and her sister's) constellation! Consider Comet your tour guide to the star's homes

Great new round. Can’t wait to go on a hunt around the place and take some dolly pics.
04-21-2020, 05:42 PM
The rainbow eyes is very clever. I did something similar with dolly wigs.
The mask looks great - and rightly doll-sized. Our Venice masks are human-sized so won’t be any fun for this round. But we have a bunch of other souvenirs from our travels that are more appropriate sizes. I’ve read that book, I really enjoyed that series of Star Wars books. We downsized & rationalised our collections a few years back, and they were culled. I regret it every so often. Elfy wants to know how you’ve propped the book open so well, he’s had problems with making it look like the dolls are holding paperbacks open.

That's a spectacular batch, s1dthesqu1d!
#10 a hammer or a screwdriver My sewing machine needed some maintenance. All done! (because you can't really see the screwdriver in the first pic) #11 a red pen I'm reusing my weekly doodle for this one. #12 a rainbow

Your rainbow one is great, love the 3 versions of it.
And Darling looks very competent with her screwdriver fixing the machine. I hope it was an easy repair.

Love the new photos, everyone!
Here's another batch from me! I still have a few I need to do but I'm almost caught up!! A cancelled stamp: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr I actually thought I wasn't gonna be able to do this one!! But finally I have a stamp. I've been bugging my boss from before I moved since JANUARY to send me my W2's so I could do my taxes and he kept saying he would but didn't, but he finally mailed it after more pestering the other day, and knocked this off my list in the process! Here's Mishka to present! He doesn't care one bit about stamps or our human postal service(fairies don't need mail, after all) but he was happy to pose for the photo. Red pen: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr I've been mulling over this one too, I was almost positive I did not own a red pen....luckily one of my roommates accidentally left one on the counter. (Ignore the mop in the sink....my roommate was cleaning.) Harley is presenting the pen simply because it matches her hair! Calendar: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr Milo: Do I look as cool as they do??? Me: Sure, honey. Here's Milo with my Gorillaz calendar! I could have used one of my Gorillaz figures for this photo, but I decided to make this all a little bit extra challenging by only using Pullip and friends. LOL The oldest thing in your house: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr This is a...uh...death card? Funeral invitation? I dunno...for a relative that died in 1902. I found it in my family bible. Technically the bible is older, as it's from the 1800s, but it's not technically mine, I need to bring it to my great aunt and have been planning to for a while, but she's in her 70s so now isn't the best time to pay her a visit. Here's Damien, because with something of such a macabre nature he MUST be involved, and also because, character age wise, he's the oldest doll here. Although a rehaul in my story has made him only 36 instead of 300+ years old. LOL. Something you're currently reading: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr Here's Casper, one of my resident weaboos, reading what I'm currently reading: The fourth light novel spinoff from my favorite anime and manga series, My Hero Academia! He seems a bit pissed that I interrupted him for a photo seconds after handing him the book. House number: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr Iris: Yep, our house certainly has a number! Purple doll: Dolly Market Scavenger Hunt by Haley, on Flickr Miss Viper is certainly very purple! |
