An escape to the beach for a little quiet, and a bittersweet reminiscence of how things used to be in the neighbourhood.

It is a lovely spot. And it was a bit breezy... enough to blow Victoria off a rock and she took a header on the beach while trying to pose majestically looking out to sea. PTFCo mandatory stunt training... "everyone falls..." >sigh<
Thank goodness she was ok.


Some green on the trees at last, and some flowers, and it's all very pretty... although it was bleepin freezing today and it took me all afternoon to thaw out after a couple hours standing around outside in the wind this morning.

Interesting daffodils — are they a mixture of white, green, and pinkish-orange?

Sounds like it is still “fur collar weather” as a result of the wind.

They're sort of white-cream and peach.  This one had some slightly greener parts.  I took some more pix but haven't had time to post them.
Since it IS, technically, just barely Sunday, I'm posting this week's pic just about a week early!

"We're in Nova Scotia, and we'd be sending dispatches from the field except mum is too busy wading through real estate listings and driving around to download any of our photos yet!  (She still hasn't sorted the ones from our Christmas trip.  Come ON, mum.)
"Anyway, we were housesitting in Halifax for a week and now we're back over on the Fundy side again.  This is the Blomidon lookoff, looking over the Minas basin and the top of the Annapolis Valley.  Isn't it fabulous!  It's like flying up here!
"We hope to do a story about our trip SOMEtime, but mum's a little preoccupied these days.  We miss doing stories on here.

Yeah, it was amazing. I really liked the whole area. The valley especially, with miles of green fields, all the orchards in bloom, and open space with no people.
I really MUST get the girls' adventure photos sorted from THIS trip. Sighh.
