But taking a houseplant with you when you're out of town -- 'kay, that's something I've never heard of before!
I took it because when cyclamens get dry -- which this one does often -- they wilt and then will lose their leaves.  It doesn't follow the every-5-days very well.  I also took the temperamental little kiawe tree -- souvenir of Hawaii 1996 -- which is fine one day and totally dry the next, after which it will also drop a ton of leaves.  And a nearly-dead orchid I'm doggedly trying to save, probably a lost battle.  And the wee Venus flytrap, which has not survived  sad  They just all need looking at more frequently.
I recall a botany professor saying many plants are basically immortal -- as long as conditions are right they just keep growing, and if you take cuttings, they still live on.  And someone I knew claimed she had a Christmas cactus that came from a cutting that came from a plant that came over on the Hector.

Another rough day in the never-ending construction zone  Cry
A little late-night dolly therapy.  I can't even get really motivated for creative pursuits these days but anyway...
Who needs a date?  BFFs sharing a treat.
Happy Dal-entine's Day.
