The banner is so cute. (I must be old, I recognize most of those things lol.)

Ruth Poole did a great job on the banner!

I must be really old, only a couple of the curios in that illustration are from when I was a kid. Everything else is new!

I almost asked Ruth to add some older toys.

It's a nice mix the way it is.
Although Raggedy Ann might have been a nice addition. She's a classic.
The Etch-a-Sketch was a fun touch!
And is that a Felix the Cat poster on the wall? Or is it really old and obscure: Krazy Kat?
Oh, lookit, I just learned something! The Krazy Kat comic strip (1913 - 1944) was set in a fictionalized version of Coconino County in Arizona... which is only an hour down the pike from where I currently live! I've long felt that living here is often like living in a surreal alternate universe. Now I have objective evidence to support my subjective observations.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

I thought about suggesting a Magic 8 ball to go with the Pokeball, or the addition of a troll. But it's really well balanced the way it is.

Edit Reason: another afterthought
)
Sucks when the stuff from your childhood is so "vintage"
I recognize pretty well all of it too, except the little figure left of the Viewmaster...? And the heart thing on the upper shelf.

I think the heart thing might be a case for Polly Pocket dolls.
Could the other figure possibly be Donald Duck....?

I was thinking the figure to the left of the Viewmaster was a generic snowman figurine, but I just figured it out!
Okay... this is so cool. I mean, SOOO FREAKIN' COOL!
I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be... the 1970s version of the Hasbro Snow Cone Maker:
Here's a link -- appropriately, to a site called Neato Coolville -- telling all about the Hasbro Snow Cone Makers... for those of you who were unfortunate to have missed out on such childhood wonders:

Oh my. I think I do vaguely remember those.
From, uh, reading history and stuff, yeah, that's it. I'm only 29.
