Oh, that makes more sense! Thanks for the correction!
(Altho' I haven't actually heard of Dollinquency either. )

Thanks everyone Yep, this year's theme was perfect for us.
Part 3 -- Beyond PUDDLE -- June 24
After PUDDLE, TrueFan invited us to visit for a bit, so, on Sunday, we packed up and hit the road.
First, lunch at Mitsuwa and this highly recommended dessert. How did I not know about this and the bakery??
"Yes! Now we're talking!"
On the way to western Illinois.
"Who's this guy...?"
"And what's wrong with his head?"
We stopped at Willowbrook Wildlife Center. They rescue injured birds & small animals from all over the area, including having people pick up birds that hit the skyscrapers in Chicago.
Rose-breasted grosbeak. Some of the permanent residents can't be released because of their injuries.
Sunsette is not afraid of snakes.
"Look, the turtle came to say hello!"
True showed us the PUDDLE donation brick on the walkway.
Now I want a pond.
We trees.
June 25 -- Local elorations
Lunch with True and Crayola and some of their girls.
We visited Old Main building at Knox College campus, site of a famous debate between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas in 1858.
"Blowing out the moral lights around us" is a terrific line.
"Abraham Lincoln sat here! Wow eh!?"
"Mum said she wasn't sure we should, but, hey, we were here too!!" XD
True showed us the library where she works. This dollhouse was pretty neat.
There was also a fairy garden outside...
"This is so great! It's us-sized!!"
"Mum, can you make us a fairy garden at home??"
"So, is flying hard to learn...?"
"Thanks for reading... more to come!"

Oh! Love the pics in the fairy-garden.
It looks like it was a great extension of the event, and look forward to seeing more shots.
The bird / wildlife sanctuary looks very interesting, and the birds are stunning.

"What's wrong with his head?"
Having the opportunity to hang out with some of your long-time online acquaintances IRL must have been a lot of fun! Was there any initial awkwardness, or are people in real life pretty much the same as they come across online?
I love seeing the PUDDLE brick at the wildlife sanctuary! It's great to know that PUDDLE as a group donates to worthwhile (and politically neutral) charitable causes!
Well... it sounds like you'll be busy this coming spring constructing a fairy garden, complete with a pond, for your girls!
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

It looks like you had a lot of fun! The bakery at Mitsuwa is the best. I like the photos of the girls in the fairy garden.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the bakery was pretty cool. It's really neat that someone made that garden for the library too.

Well, I didn't know a lot of folks, but it was pretty comfortable, because no matter how different people are otherwise, there are dolls in common, so you can walk up to anyone and start a conversation about them. In that sense, it's WAY better than the average social gathering! And the first time I went, having chatted a lot online and Skyped with a very good dolly friend, it didn't feel like we were "meeting" for the first time at all; it was like "Oh, hi! you got here OK."
Also, I thought it was hilarious that several people who wouldn't know what *I* looked like, came up to me and said, "Is that Sunsette??"
You should go some year. It's a lot of fun.

I'd love a pond and fairy garden. Alas, before that project, a more critical one would be moving the entire veggie garden down off the shady hill and out into the sunny middle of the yard. Not too likely... $$$$....
Well, SO belated, but, "life" kind of intervened and I'm so far behind sorting the summer photos, but the PrettyTiny Film Company's Executive Producer finally put the crew on notice for a deadline, that no more adventures may be posted till we catch up with PUDDLE. Of course, since this is mostly the Executive Producer's fault, the rest of the crew are pretty much sitting around watching. But they want more adventures, so someone needs to Get It Done.
Part 4 -- Beyond PUDDLE -- June 26
We are on our way to Iowa!
The bridge to Iowa. Google couldn't handle the traffic backup and detour, so it navigated us in a circle and we went over this bridge 3 times!!
It's the Mississippi!
We dipped our toes.
In the lookout tower from the previous pic.
"How cool is this! There's a park all the way down here named for MEEE!...
But... they spelled it wrong! Can you call my agent...?"
"Also in Sunset(te) park were us-sized mushrooms!"
We went to the Iowa Parrot Rescue. There are actually ear-protectors hanging inside the door when you go in, for those with sensitive ears. That's how many birds they have and how noisy they are! They rescue parrots from all kinds of places, from drug dealers and smugglers to loving owners who have died (parrots live a long time). TrueFan has adopted 3 birds from them.
"A really bad picture of me with one of the birds."
"Guess where we went on the way home!"
The famous Tuesday Morning that Canadians all wish they could go to when the Great Pullip Hunt enters a new chapter. And some of you may remember that Tuesday the fox joined us here.
Couldn't get a good picture of this lovely rainbow. It heralded some very stormy weather.
Hanging out in TrueFan's garden with our new friend Aya. (We didn't bring extra shoes! )
There were frost warnings still, when we left home!! It's hot here. It's nice.
"Peek-a-boo!"
"This is me-sized... sort of... but the door isn't."
Getting acquainted.
More to come...

I haven't posted my mushroom and Mississippi photos either. Maybe this will inspire me to.

Lovely continuation of the holiday. The peek-a-boo one is admirable.
And the one with the doll-sized house (but not door) is cute too
