A lot of the summer flowers have died off, but some are hanging on as we haven't had any freezing temperatures yet. And the 'mums are hearty fall flowers, so they're in their prime. After a week of below average temps, it's supposed to be in the mid/high 70s again later this week, so no frost for the foreseeable future.

Speaking of flowers...

No frost for the foreseeable future! Where is this paradise of which you speak?

This guy... reminds me of me when I was in, like, later junior high school! My hair and eyes were that color and I wore shirts with a similar pattern quite often.

I was skinny back then, too. Like him.

Handsome fellow. Your flowers look great still. Mine crapped out a while ago.

It was 82 yesterday. 82! And today is a high of 52. I do not understand our weather. We've also had rain for... I think nine straight weekends? It held off yesterday, but it's pouring today.

My flowers are mostly looking pretty scraggly, even if they're not dead yet. Last week's picture was taken at a community garden a town over from where I work. There were a few plots that still looked great.

She's sooo pretty.
Wow, I'd take 82 degrees. We had a couple of warm days last week but now it's turning cold Cry
Do you set them somewhere & pose them for all these portraits or just hand-hold them?

...I keep scrolling back up to look; did I mention she's really pretty?? LOL

I attempted to post this afternoon, and my internet glitched at a crucial moment and I lost the whole post. Take two...

Thank you!

I usually hand-hold them, particularly if I'm out in public and am internally freaking out that someone may come along at any moment and notice me! Of course, this results in a lot of same-y looking pictures. I need to work on my posing/ balancing/ full body shots, etc.

Of my recent pictures, weeks 39 and 43 the dolls are leaning instead of me holding them.

Week forty-five
Because I know y'all like flower pictures... This past week has been cold, including some hard frosts at night, and all my flowers are dead or sad-looking... except for these ones (asters?) which only just bloomed a few weeks ago and seem to love the cold. I swear they lasted into December last year.

Aaaaahhhh, lookit all the flowers! In November!! Soo jealous.
I think they're mums? And while googling the leaf shape to confirm, I learned that, OMG, you can EAT them!!! Oh My

Another nicely colour-coordinated shot!

Ooh, you're right... Cambodian Queen mums, according to Google. They seem much hardier than the rest of my mums, which have given up already.

That's interesting about them being edible... I don't think I'd actually want to eat one, but I'm also kind of curious!

Yeah, try it. Apparently a big thing in Asian cuisine. I'd love to hear how they taste. Having discovered edible weeds in my garden, I'd throw these in a stirfry.

Another impressively well color-coordinated flower pic! You must have an infinite number of colored wigs to match the infinitely colorful flowers in the neighborhood gardens!
