“On the third day of Pullip my true love gave to me…” ?
I am looking forward to how this progresses.
That’s really sad about the house. I used to occasionally look at real estate in Hawai’i just for fun. Insane prices. I still have a news clipping from 1996 that I sent my parents, a page of real estate listings and I said “look at these crazy prices”, and they were probably about half or less what they are now.
What about the Big Island though? Prices a lot cheaper if you want to take a chance on Pele eating your house! I remember seeing “land” for some ridiculously cheap price… It was an acre or two lots on an old Mauna Loa flow. Looked like you might as well be on Mars!
Looking at listings in BC makes me sad for a similar reason – I will probably never be able to afford what I would like there.

They are nicely colour-coordinated to their surroundings.
Man, lookit that beautiful blue sky and snowless landscape. I have spent 3 1/2 hours shovelling in the past 24 hours... that looks soooooooo nice.

After having gone through a significant drought here a few years ago, I'm concerned about the snow pack this season, which is about 40% of normal.

Hehehe, I wonder where they're going!!
So, 40% of normal is zero...
I assume you mean a wider region
Yes, drought is a concern. We had a significant one here over the summer, and a bunch of wells went dry.

Yes, wider region. "Southwest Utah" in general, "Upper Sevier" more specifically, 44% as of today.

We are also in drought in Illinois. I had planned to move to Seattle after I retired, but it's no longer even close to being possible for me. Housing out there is also off the charts. At least in Illinois I'm near the Great Lakes for when the water crisis gets really real.

Archaeologist Amelia
.
Pullip Amelia and Pullip Amelia found some lithic flakes, or debitage, during their desert trek.
Debitage is the debris left behind during the manufacture of stone tools in paleolithic times. The flakes Team Amelia discovered show marks consistent with pressure flaking techniques.
Ancient peoples believed to have migrated through this region include the Paiute and the Anasazi.

Yes. And yes.
The flakes are quite common. I have not yet found an intact point or arrowhead.
