The distance is walkable. It's maybe 6 blocks? I don't remember but it's basically across the Loop and that's not very big. It's easy to walk across downtown Chicago and not even realize it, lol!
Afternoon tea was pretty filling last time we went, so if we want to do a light lunch first, we may want to do late tea.
I am more than happy to tag along doing whatever

if we meet up at Union Station ill have to find my way there... im not to good with directions in the city

Light lunch at Union Station, hanging out in the Great Hall (or outside if it's nice), walk to tea, tea, sounds good to me. It is an easy doable walk from Union Station, rural girl.

I'll be driving in, parking my car, and taking the CTA most likely. I might just park at Union Station if that's where other people are meeting, though. It'd still be cheaper than trying to park inside the Loop!

I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to take the train with me. If he goes, he wants to drive the whole way. I told him he'd have to deal with parking but he said there was a parking structure near by. I just wish he'd listen and take the train with me, stupid boys

My options for the train would be getting in at 9am (leaving at 6!) or getting in at 1pm. I would rather drive on my own and get there at 11 or 12!

To take the train, I have to drive an hour to Lake Forest. The one from Kenosha runs kind of like babelgyph's.

Just FYI, parking downtown is usually not going to be cheaper than $20. I used to pay $22/day when I drove to work (if I missed my bus).

ill be getting to the city about 11:10 - so depending on how long it takes me to walk to Union Station i should be there no later then 11:30/11:45

so in other words im now 50/50 on the meet - i wont know till i get my schedule if i get that saturday off or not - ill keep you all posted
