Ha, I love Anne's eyemechs. She was one of my very first Pullips. She was sold out - I don't remember how I got my hands on one.

I feel stoopid because I've had her since she was released, but what's the deal with Anne's eye mech? Now I'll have to go play with it to see if I can tell what's different.

Sorry, I took a photo to better show what I was talking about. Anne, along with other dolls that I had (Little Red Riding Hood and maybe Panda?) have eyeglobes that are more pushed back into the heads so there's a larger gap and you're able to see some of the insides of the heads. (LRRH's eyemech was always a pain for me to realign back in her head, so I just never did it).
Basically, their eye mechs are a bit different. Even when you remove the globes from these eyemechs and place them into later Type 2 or Type 3 eyemech (the one that's a complete hole and not floppy eye globes) it'll still look pushed back. I tried it once, removing eyeglobes from a early type 2 into an Assa eyemech and I couldn't figure out how to get it to look more flush like the newer mechs. I know for sure that Assa's eyemech matches those of Type 3's.
I started with later Type 2's and early Type 3's when I started collecting, so it was a bit of a bother for me because of what I was used to. I guess I'm a bit picky...because there are slight changes to the pullip head over time that I didn't like like the rounded nose and face shape of the two piece heads. I never owned a Type 1 though, so maybe if I did I'd have a different opinion on it all. ^^;

Interesting. If I ever noticed it I guess I got over it. I love Anne, LRRH, and Panda!
