...Did you have to learn any new tricks with the larger doll?
Hmm...mmm... good question. Well, I guess just being a lot more careful with posing because they're so much more top-heavy, will face-plant harder when they fall & thus are more likely to get damaged. And I break all the rules about keeping these not-for-play dolls in safe places. Thank you for the nice comments
Here is the project they've been working so hard on
It's been a while... Sunsette had some time off after finishing the movie with her mom, and on the administrative side of her modelling career, she welcomed a couple new PTFCo crew members. This week I had a li'l day trip so she and a couple of friends got an outing.
... when you find yourself sitting in front of the dolly cabinet with a decision-making crisis because you can't decide who to take along...?!
We had to start rather too early for everyone, especially me.
Sunsette: "What is this?! The sun isn't even up yet!!!"
Marilyn: "Huunhhh...?"
Roxann: "Go ' way..."
"AND it's raining?? Come ON!!"
But, they settled in for the ride.
"Boats!"
Fortunately there were some breaks in the showers.
They elored a wee beach beside this derelict building. I kinda think they're wondering about buried treasure...
Thought I would balance her on the log, but it was moving with the tide, so not a good idea.
"You guys! Look what I found!"
Just a reminder that I told them they could have that lighthouse dollhouse kit some day.
We met a nice lady at lunch and had a long chat. She watched while we did the lighthouse shoot, and was entertained. She even noticed Sunsette's hat in the box and wanted to know why she wasn't wearing it because Marilyn was wearing hers. (I elained that Sunsette isn't much for hats.) This is her dog.
They met a mermaid...
And a very big fisherman!
Looking a wee bit tired...
The only disappointment was the outdoor concert started just as we needed to get on the road. I really wanted a photo of them sitting watching. Well, imagine 3 little dollies sitting on a tiny cement & grass tiered outdoor amphitheatre, overlooking a harbour, with some young women with guitars and drums on the walkway below.
Then it was time to go.
"Boat!!"
A late supper in the car. (I hate that it's getting dark earlier...)
PTFCo's nautical contingent went to a pirate festival on the weekend. I wound up not taking very many pictures of them. The heat and crowd weren't really conducive to setting up 4 little dolls for really good photos.
Ready to go!
"Another road trip in the rain?? Come ON!"
Scarlett's just happy she gets to go this time.
At our hosts', they met these unusual characters.
Sunsette said the canoe wasn't particularly piratey.
My friends' shop window won "most creative". Too bad the gang wasn't there when the judges came by!
They were so excited to find a real treasure chest!

Thank you guys
dargosmydaddy, it's completely silly, but fun. There is a parade, bed race, musical entertainment, "re-enactments" of very fictional piratey activities, lots of activities for kids... the best part is how many people go in costume.
ok, I know my mind is turning to mush but how did I miss TWO PTFCo outings? *slaps self
I LOVE the lighthouse photos in the first story, also Roxann getting smooched by that very sweet dog I love the fact that my wee friend Scarlett got to go along to the pirates day and all of those photos are awesome. I love where they are all on the sides of the boat and of course the treasure chest
Now that the company has grown so much, I'll bet it is horribly difficult to resist all those teeny voices saying "pick meee" (for some reason I am imaging the minis talking in that awful HaHa Pullip's chipmunk voice )
Our little star has been taking it easy lately, but Facebook reminded me that this is Sunsette's birthday. So she got to dress up and wear a party hat. Normally she's not a fan of hats, but she really likes this one.
So happy FOURTH anniversary here, to the best li'l supermodel mini who started all this dolly stuff for me! I still remember opening her box in the car at the beach after picking up my mail. "Oh my goodness, you're so cute."
Happy birthday Sunsette You look lovely in that hat and I bow to your professionalism, out in the freezing cold posing in a summer dress because it was the right look
Happy birthday Sunsette! Seems like she got a giant dessert Sunsette is a strong girl she faces Canadian winter with a flowery hat and a spring dress .
