Yes, black light. Very effective at highlighting dust and lint.
Thanks for all the fish!

Thank you, that is very nice to hear (or read).

Very possibly!
27 May - A Doll A Day 2021:
27 May - Roomier Room
While there is still room for a few more rowdy revelers on the Maxie Sindy Day-Dreaming Bed, the room box in which the action takes place is proving too small. The Sindys took it upon themselves to remedy this inconvenient situation by constructing an addition. The original space is to screen right, with the new addition to the left of the not-quite-matching center seam.

So the Sindys are construction pros too? Are they setting up in competition with the Smart Dolls, or are they all going to become one big corporation?
Your crew seriously needs a reno/building TV show

Very useful with hime improvement there! I was starting to wonder how everyone was going to fit in the room, let alone on the bed!

Probably one big corporation. There's more money in monopolies than in free market competition.

The Sindys are more middle-management types, preferring to assign the manual labor to others.

Yes... sigh... I suppose we may eventually need to address the capacity of the daybed.
28 & 29 May - A Doll A Day 2021:
28 May - The Guardians of Glitter Mountain
Do candy-coloured magical unicorns with deadly propeller hands count as dolls?
Of course they do! Or at least, we'd better hope they're just dolls! Killer robot unicorns with slice-n-dice hands, that's scary stuff!
I spotted these in a gas station mini market during, appropriately, a mini road trip yesterday.
Sadly, I discovered after returning home that I was within a few miles of... and no, I am not making this up... a place called Glitter Mountain ( aka Sparkle Mountain), where the entire hillside sparkles as if by magic!
Which ex-plains the killer robot unicorns: they must be The Guardians of Glitter Mountain!
29 May - Madame Bovary's Ovaries
Fashion Switch Carly found this book at the rubbish dump, at the bottom of a dumpster. Can you imagine anyone throwing away such a treasure!
Uhmm... for the record, Carly and I used a long, pointed stick - actually a broken shovel handle (because the dumpsters at the dump are positively brimming with useful cast-offs) - to fish the book out of the dumpster. No diving today!
The book dates to 2005. One of the authors, Nanelle Barash, went on to become a veterinarian (I looked her up online). The other author is her dad, a university professor.
Slipped between the pages of the book was a colour photograph of two kids standing in a back garden. The photo is labeled "David and Emily, Ojai, California - 1996."
No money among the pages, though. It's been forever (like, literally, it's never happened) since I found money hidden between the pages of a book.
They're not dolls, they're action figures!

You have a most interesting rubbish tip. Scavenging is kind of discouraged at ours now... although I guess it you asked nicely the manager might still let you. I have a bookcase from a long-ago trip, as well as a wicker former-bathroom-shelf that now hosts scarlet runner beans in the summer garden
I hate the idea of throwing away books. They could at least have donated it. Sounds like rather esoteric reading, although it has some good reviews. Will you be reading it?
As for the unicorns, they are very... strange. Are they supposed to be car fans, or...?
I think some of your crew need to make a road trip to Glitter Mountain! It sounds like a great photostory site!

The unicorns are very amusing, and are perfect guardians of the Glitter / Sparkle mountain.
What an interesting find! I’m with Alliecat about what an interesting tip you have to find all th3 treasures you do.

Nope, Pirate Pegasus Unicorn wins that title! And love that they've got their own treasure chest too.

Ha ha, I vote for the pirate pegasus unicorn too… But then I thought the convenience store unicorns were a little strange anyway.
