He certainly did!

. . .
Was the swap meet a different event than the flea market? I really enjoyed my visit to the Aloha Flea Market, near the end of my time there, and that was the tipping point for my souvenir-acquiring, where I had to buy an extra bag to get it all home. ...aaahh, memories!
Do houses in your neighborhood have outdoor showers? (This reminds me - put "cheap shower head" on shopping list.)
Swap meet, flea market, same thing. I guess the official name is "flea market," but people tended to use both terms. And yes, my first trip to Hawaii I did the same thing! Back before extra bag fees were not as extreme and bag weight didn't matter! My mom did the same thing on her first visit! I found myself in quite a funk last night, missing those carefree, fun days so much I could hardly stand it.
22 December - A Doll A Day 2021:
22 December - Ceramic Moon
This ceramic moon is hanging on a side of the house that almost nobody ever sees, unless they are mowing the lawn. I will move it soon, after I find a satisfactory hook or screw on which to safely hang it, and decide upon a satisfactory spot in which to install said screw. I think I shall look for a spot inside the house rather than outside. I have to make sure I'm sure when it comes to putting hangers in the walls, either inside or out. This house is made of concrete cinder block. Placing a mounting hook is not as simple as tapping a nail in to drywall or wood.
By the way: Happy Solstice, y'all! (It was yesterday, actually, but I forgot to say anything.)

That's cute too! I like his face. Not too goofy, not too weird. All these little bits of decor have been fun to see.
I wonder if those stick-on "Command" picture hooks are as sturdy as they're advertised to be?

Dude.
It's bleepin freezing.
Only a few hardy tourists & little kids swim.
Happy Dayaftersolstice! Yay!

That’s great, and it really gives us a perspective on just how small the Pinkies really are.

I'm going to try one of those hooks to hang an inex-pensive plastic clock. If it works, I may try one for the moon, although the moon, being ceramic, is quite heavy, and would break if it were to fall, so I'll probably ultimately go with something more substantial.
I thought you rugged northern types were all in to the naked polar bear swims and stuff.

About 4 inches / 10 cm.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to find the moon hanging on the side of the house.

23 December - Just Like In The Olden Days
To my surprise and delight, one of the neighbors brought over a plate of freshly baked Christmas cookies as a "welcome to the neighborhood" greeting. There's actually still a trace of 1950s old-fashioned-ness in this neighborhood of little bungalow houses constructed in the early 1950s.

That’s really nice of the neighbours. Pinky looks like they are going to enjoy them a lot.
